I remembe when I was six and playing this game on the ps1, unfortunately the 2nd disc stopped working before I could beat rex. Then m ps1 stopped working. Unfortunately rex is the only metal gear of the series I wasn't able to beat. I wished they'd put this game on ps2.

a 556 is the guns they use and a pineapple is a grenade named that because it looks like a pineapple that the squares on thr grenade are shrapnel when the grenade explodes

Actually, the square patterns on the fragmentation grenade are actually only there for grip; they aren't made to explode into squared pieces that big.

The shrapnel from those grenades are small pieces that go through almost everything. Bigger pieces, less target hits, more wasted energy.

But you can get the SOCOM suppressor until you get the Level 1 Pan card. Also, if you don't pick up the SOCOM pistol in the truck, you can find it in the same place where you would find the Thermal Googles.

I saw the second part and saw where they SOCOM was placed.

I realize you do have to go through the basement sequence to get the card to unlock the door to get the silencer; the door will open automatically for you when you approach it.

It just puts you on the lower floor in the Tank Hanger instead of on the upper floor.

Yeah I agree, to tell you the truth, I am new to the MGS series, my nephew is the one who plays them and I watch him. I was just introduced to mgs4 and that's why I'm watching the first one now so i can know the story better. I see it's a great series, I was just hoping they figure out how to reverse the aging process so Snake can be his normal self,but that's for them to decide huh. As for Raiden, he kicks major ass, so a game with him won't be so bad, I just dont want them to give up on Snake.

musashi1596 ,you're mis-informed again. The guy that looks like Raiden in  'Metal Gear Solid 3' is actually Raikov, a character that Hideo Kojima created for the people who didn't like Raiden. Plus, 'Metal Gear Solid 3' happens in the 60s, so it can't be the real raiden we know.
