Watch the episodes and you'll see for yourself - the Japanese whaling fleet takes whale after whale right in front of these clowns. The ONLY reason why they don't take their entire IWC quota - just like Eskimo whalers, is because they decide to stop killing them on their own.

Don't fool yourself people, they make a television program, collect a lot of money and make themselves out to be "heros" within a circle of environmental advocates that include famous people like Daryl Hanna - but they have not and will not stop whaling. They talk a big game - but it's all a self serving perpetual cycle that leads to more whaling and more television shows. You want to stop whaling you put Japan's whaling fleet on the ocean floor - period, end of story!!!

@ihatechili I'll tell you how ignorant I am - I know exactly how many whales the Japanese whaling fleet brings in every year, I personally know the Captain of one of the Japanese harpoon ships - and talked in great length with him and members of his crew. Sea Shepherd has never prevented their fleet from taking its quota. They've been a pain in the ass and cost them some fuel and time but that's it. Just because you sit on your fat ass watching television doesn't mean you're well inormed.
