the claim that the scroll is exactly the same since Moshe received it is not necessarily factual. the script may not have been the ashuri script that we use today. and, it is clear when there were differences found between scrolls that decisions were made by going by the majoirty. does that mean that the scrolls are materially different, not necessarily... the point is it may not be exactly the same... we need to be honest about the very minor differences that do exist due to transmission error
