Sadly, I think their decision that 'free range's is better is merely based on the fact that it tastes better. They still don't give a crap about animal welfare. They are just concerned with their selfish interests and pleasures.
@snakemagic Well, that's living to you. Every living being is selfish, every being is primarily interested in their own well-being and pleasure. That's not really an issue, it's not something to fix. It's not faulty, and it's not at fault. Law of the jungle, mate.
The real problem is that we have made ourselves lkords of nature, and we're not built for that condition. We're not ready.
@snakemagic you sound like u gota lota time n money on ur hands. im broke and work 3 jobs and i can give a fuck as long as i get my KFC goodness at lunch errrday im a happy boy
@snakemagic And thank god free-range DOES taste better. Imagine if they had to fight cost AND flavor, we'd all still be eating battery-farmed.
Thank you for posting this show, GsTaste. An eye-opener. I was already vegetarian, but after seeing what happens to the male chicks (live into a grinder just CAN'T be humane, no matter how they argue it!), I doubt I'll be eating eggs any time soon. I think once I get my own place I'll be buying a couple chickens of my own!
only problem with free range is that foxes can wreck havoc on a farm, hence why it is so much more expensive to produce because the losses are and can be greater but i agree with everythign jamie says about hte battery farm process as it is at the moment
awful and disgusting. they are eating corpses...
