This woman is clearly gifted, but the countless comparisons to Carpenter, & Springfield, leave me with the impression that her singing style is purely derivative.

I think a new artist has to offer something unique, & sadly I don't hear that with Rumer.

Hayden Thorpe of 'Wild Beasts' is often compared to the late, great, Billy MacKenzie, & with good reason, but I don't find his voice as being solely derivative, as it has plenty of unique nuances to it.

Rumer will develop her own voice, in time...
