its not a bad cover. i like the whos original version better, but thats only because the who are my favorite band. but still its nice to see other bands app-re-she-ate(i cant spell) the same music as me, even if i dont like the cover or band, a trubute is a trubute, and a trubute always means well.
im a huge ramones fans have tons and tons of bootlegs of them but i do have to say the sex pistols had the best version of it,something just doesent settle with me and the ramones towards the last yrs of their career..74-78 to me are the best yrs with the ramones with tommy
That was one of the most awesome videos I've ever seen. Yeah, that was Lemmy at 2:30, but my question is, Who was THAT at 2:38!? Looks like she could be bucketheads wife or something.
I honestly wouldn't expect Pete to be associated with these guys. No disrespect to either, it just seems that they're in completely different departments in the rock and roll industry.
I don't agree. Both the Who and the Ramones had an identical lineup - lead singer, 1 guitarist, bass and drummer. Both bands didn,t rely on big guitar solos. Both bands were pioneers within their own genres -who=mod, ramones =punk. The who were a massive influence on the 70s punk scene. I'm pretty sure Townshend was well aware of that when he released the movie Quadraphenia in 1979 on the tail-end of the late 70s punk/mod scene. he would have jumped at the chance to do this...its awsome version

this is a shit cover. it sounds like the singer has had a numbing injection in his jaw. the drumming is boring and the same all the way through. no 1 can compare these to the who. this cover is a joke. hahahahahaha
there needs to be a band that revives old punk like this, i hate the new shit that people call punk today, with their eyeliner and tight pants and shit, appearence shouldnt matter punk is not a damn fashion!
the ramones were huge fans of the who. this really shows how punk the who was for their time and how much influence they really had on the whole genre. but other than all that stuff, this is just a great song and an absolutely amazing cover. i could actually see pete townsend listening to it and being like, "wow, cool". LOL the ramones were GREAT.

Anarchy in the UK...? Well they ( RAMONES ) came from The USA. What can I say? At least Ramones had a bass player who knew how to play his instrument..
raccoonmaster, I dont like the Sex Pistols and prefer the Ramones, but just becuase i think that way I'm not going to go to sex pistols videos uploaded in youtube making comments about how the ramones are better and blablabla, because if I do that, ill be acting like a fucking fangirl, which is what you are, a fanboy, and everybody hates fanboys, so just shut the fuck up already, each to its own, if you prefer the sex pistols then listen to the sex pistols and Ill stick with my ramones.
