I want this camera. It looks so cool, and it pretty cheap. Can you zoom in and out while recording videos with it? Also, I wish it was like HQ or HD for videos.
Ice doesn't get affected by microwaves, only when there is water on them and since they were just taken out of the freezer there would be no water on them.
I would have liked to see him put it into the toilet, hold the strap, then flush a few times whilst in record! Does it have a microphone for videos? Or only snapshots?
wow this video is really good, it proves the durability of the camera to me, and mine [in blue, just as yours] will be arriving in a few days, i can't wait (]: Thanks for the great vid!
another SUPER BORED, living with parents, 20-something, trust-funded ... hey man, why don't you travel overseas and use that stupid camera OR give it to someone who couldn't afford it but loves photography.
Let me see...! are you unhappy about this camera or is there something wrong with your brain :P
This video is about the camera and it is not about my self at all :D
I'm living 7000km's away from my home and travels a lot. I take this cam for diving and para jumping. It work fine with altitudes up to 8000 feet (that's the highest I have reached) and depth close to 10m (I have taken it to 10m for a very small time period). just answering you :)
It has special modes to take pictures in Snow, Beach, Under Water and mane more. My favorite is underwater self portrait :)
But you can't expect extremely high quality pictures in low light conditions. Lens diameter is just about 1 cm, so low light performances are not so good ( of course you can use night mood )
Microwave cook food by vibrating water molecules. What happen when you put a metal inside, it get ionized. This is OK as long as the object is not close to the walls of the microwave, otherwise spark occurs.
Just like people inside a vehicle is protected by lightning strikes, hard metallic casing protect the camera from ionization.
Regarding ice, put a cube of ice inside a 800W microwave for 20sec and see :P
assuming specific heat of ice at -18'deg to be 2000J/Kg/K it will take approximately 4000J (Jules) of heat energy just to bring it to 0'deg Ice (for 100g of ice). What you don't know is 0'deg ice takes a huge amount energy to transfer from 0'deg ice to 0'deg water. so you won't see a sign of ice melting in 20 sec period, but don't be a fool to assume microwave is not working :)
in general how long does the camera last i know its said to be 200 shots but like real time is it like a day, two, or even three with just normal usage here and there
With flash on you can hardly achieve 200. But about 20 pic/day it will definitely last for more than a week.
one day I took 1600 pics covering a cricket match in a single charge (in broad day light using shoot and select mood - it take 8 pic at a rate of about 3 frames/sec, very use full to capture fast actions)

It is a very common cable. mini usb port at one end an usual usb port at the other end (as I can remember :))
I have never used my cable and don't know where it is! I just use a card reader to copy the images to pc.

Is it possible to change the shutter speed on this camera? Thanks.

There are different modes with varying shutter speeds, but you can't change the shutter speed independently!

Unfortunately no, You can't zoom while recording a video. that's the only minus point in this camera.
It has a HQ mode, but the recording time is very limited. But you can't expect the HQ or HD from a camera of this spec. hope you agree with me :)

Absolutely fantastic! 5*. I love the microwave part!! Please post more!
FortegoLite 2 years ago
I still feel that the microwave part is taking an unwanted risk. anyway now you know that it can survive a little time inside the microwave :)
mechpro03 2 years ago
dude he didn't even turn the microwave on hence the ice not melting he just had it so it was spinning

You know nothing about microwaves, isn't it?

then what was the point cus if it can't even melt ice its not gonna hurt a camera

I see... let me explain about ice :D

just a vid to enjoy, if you have any thing to know about the cam I would be happy to help.
thanks for visiting :)
