the first season was shot in the NBC studios

The first four months of HS '86 was INDEED done at NBC Studios.
Beginning in the second half of S1 and all of the first half into the second half of S2, it was taped at ABC Television Center.
By 1988 and '89, it was taped at FOX Television Center and later Universal Studios in Hollywood.

The first 1 minute of this clip, sounds like it was taped at NBC Studios, b/c I heard the usual NBC Audience Sweetner wolf whistles and Mother MacKenzie applause.
