  • I met her recently and she is just as kind and gracious in person,

  • West side story is 50 years old now.

  • Damn good Genes

    and..

    Fine as hell

  • I'm glad Rita corrected her about her not being born in America. I can't believe the interviewer didn't know that Puerto Rico is a commonwealth, a U.S. territory, which makes them Americans. Anyway, Rita does have class and style and a great actress to boot.

  • love her!

  • I loved her in "OZ"!

  • Wow, she still looks great!

  • you rock Rite Moreno & I love u big fan

  • im suprised she doesnt have an accent

  • @JamaicanCutie18 That's because she came to the states (New York) when she was only 5 years old.

  • @JamaicanCutie18 Also, when you attend the schools in the US, people tend to pick-up the accents there and they lose their native accents.

That's the case with many people. I grew up in Miami and there are many Jamaicans, Cubans, etc.... who lost their accents.

  • I think she is so terrific! Down to earth, humble, and funny. She is class personified.

I will never forget her in West Side Story. Some of today's stars should be required to sit down and listen to this lady. Still a looker in her sixties.

  • I like the way the interviewer starts laughing when Rita talks about her character hanging herself.

  • Iam proud of her.... viva Rita on of the three Puertorricans to win the Oscar..

  • What a mind! I could listen to her for hours. And such a sense of humor.

  • Ahhh, the smooth voice behind Carmen Sandiego.

  • This woman is got more class that all the present hispanics put together. Still beautiful and full of candor and very sexy too. FOREVER ANITA OF WEST SIDE

  • I just fell in love with her all over again.

  • I like the fact of the white bitch trying to say she was not American, and Rita countering her about the fact she is Puerto Rican, hence, a citizen.

That said, Rita, do not play the victim, you are beautiful.

  • @GarfieldGoose It's amazing how so many people don't know that Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, making Puerto Ricans American citizens, not foreigners. Go figure. LOL!

  • shes very hot still!!!

  • she is hot for that age and still is

  • Ha her middle name is Dolores like mine...I hated my name for a long time, I don't anymore.

  • @cafecon2 Well Dolores is a nice female name.. I do love it.

  • OMG! Her beauty is rediculous. Women don't at her age don't look like that anymore. She looks so beautiful at 68, if only women in hollywood today had such wonderful class and new how to take care of themselves instead of relying on plastic surgery and dumb injections. GO RITA!

  • Her and Sophia Loren.

  • wow i had no idea her dance instructor was rita hayworth's uncle!!!!

  • My school is doing a project about Hispanic-American Achievers. Well, my spanish class is. I choose her, becuase she is a great person and is one of the few to win 4 awards in Talents.

  • I love her!

  • She's soooo beautiful. And charismatic. Tell me if anyone gets this, but there's some Tina Louise to her gorgeous face.

  • multi talented lady, full of passion and charisma

  • Such a beautiful, charming, talented woman...She's impressive!

  • amazing career

    great dancer and singer

and one of the best comedic actress of all time

  • A classy elegant lady in the truest sense.

  • What a great lady. She could read from the phonebook and make it sound like a witty anecdote. Though she has had success, she should have been a much bigger star. At least we all benefit from her humour and candor. She's one great human being, as far as I'm concerned.

  • go Boricua, luv ya

  • ah man shes awesome

  • Rita Moreno is one of the best in this series of TV Legends. She is open, frank, and very amusing about her long and varied career.

  • Wonderful triple threat...As she was Awarded at least 3 ways (when I last heard) we were REwarded countless time with her gifts:-)

  • Created an awful cliche in West Side story

that Puerto Ricans still have to live with.

    "Everything freeeee in America"

    Give me a break!!

  • That "cliche" you talk about did for the hispanic community what "Roots" did for the Aftrican American community--it made them visible, and showed the world that we all have the same dreams., family ties, and sense of community. She also won an Academy Award for it--which helped bring Hispanic performers to the mainstream.

  • great interview!!!

  • she is very good

  • The VIACOM issue is so pressing, today. They own theater, tv and radio, hdtv and all pay-per-view features...

Will they (Viacom, Paramount, G&W) now extend their capitalist exploits into the internet production arts, as well?

    I certainly hope so.

  • love the way Rita explains everything. She is wonderful.
