I didn't start watching DWTS until this year, so it wasn't until halfway through season 12 that I found out on the internet they used to be engaged. It's a shame that didn't work out--they are both extremely talented and this dance was wonderful!

With Slavik Kryklyvyy she was the US National Dance Sport Latin Champion three straight years (2001-2003) and runner-ups to the world title. It's beyond me why they never did win the world title. When she was competing, she was considered the best female Latin dancer in the world. No DWTS dancer male or female can make these claims or come close to it. It's too bad she's not as successful wih her love life. I wish her only the best.

@desireej10 If you watched the Ukranian Bachelor, there was an episode where Maks' parents came on. Maks' mom was talking to one of the girls about how Karina tricked him. Apparently, him and her had sex one drunk night (big mistake) and she told him she was pregnant, when she really wasn't. So, Maks wanted to be a good guy and decided to marry her, for the kid. Then she had to tell him why there was no signs of her pregnancy. She betrayed him and that is why most of the dancers took Maks' side.

He would have noticed she was not pregnant months before that! + she wouldnt have kept dancing on the show while pregnant....doesnt make sense :/ Are you sure thats actually what his parents said ?? I saw them perform this live & it was beautiful. Watching Karina dance is poetry, every part of her is one with the music. She's a legend in dancesport. The gossip & speculation is fuel for small minds. She broke up with a boyfriend, why do people care so much? I'm sure they'll both find new love interests. The reason for the break-up is between them & to speculate or accuse either of them is just wrong. People should worry about their own lives.Max & Karina will do just fine.

The title makes ut sound like this is a rumba from Burn the Floor. It is not. The first Rumba of the show featured Jessica Rafta and 6 leads. Sexiest dance I ever saw.
