  • I have search for a single word to sum up my appreciation of what you have produced but I am afraid not one word will do. So much lovely art and such stirring music all in a short space of time is pleasantly overwhelming.

  • That you find it 'pleasantly overwhelming' is quite enough...and hey, thats just one more word than a single :)

    Thx, Lord, for absorbing :)

  • You are most welcome:)

  • Beautiful. And weird that the image that I have come to associate with you (your channel icon) was actually just a picture that lasted under one second - blink and you missed it. I like that. Man in his place - blink and you'll miss it ;-)

  • And I like your vision, in more ways than one :)

That horse is Sleipnir, the mythical God of all God's all-powerful 8-legged horse...he flew between worlds...

his image has been with me for near 30 years :)

    Thx, Biggest of D's :)

  • You're an education, FL! I just looked googled it and learned all about the birth of Sleipnir and the possible origins. Very interesting. And very fitting that today the represents a YouTubian Goddess :-) xxx

  • Big smiles from here, D, and YOU are a dazzling 'glint' on one of those cyber mirrors in the sky :)

hehe can I call you a god now?!

    LOL I got it: DG!!!

  • LOL!!! All bow before DG ;-)

  • hehee...did you want to make this your theme song or something?!

    :D

  • They won't let me comment on your page for some reason.... Anywho I like this video... It is pretty cool.

  • Hey, mate! Sainter1 and I both appreciate your watching and commenting...wherever! :)

  • Ok, haha, just wanted ye to know I tried and the errer kepted appearin' on the screen.

  • Awesome Production! Music matched perfectly wih the great visuals! Thanks for sharing all that hard work with us!

    Mr. & Mrs. GeezerArt

  • And thank you for watching! We're very glad you enjoyed it, and had a great time making it for you!

  • Anyone that can include a prehistoric shaman's cave art, Mandelbrot fractals, and great music in one piece has my respect! Wonderfully thought provoking video, now on my favorites list. Thanks to you both. --mn--

  • * I meant Keep it (where was that k?)

  • mmmhmmmm aaart!!! My soul is now satiated.. very much...I might as well feep it for later cravings...

  • Thx Skippy. I checked three English to Latin online converter-dictionaries before i titled it. Each one said "Vir in suus locus". I think i got the English subtitle def right though :) I'd love to see a response from you if you care to make one.

  • Howdy geezer,

    nice one but...

"Vir in suus locus" is wrong, it has to be "Vir in suo loco" because of the "in". It's an ablative. (dunno if that's the right word in English, in German it's Ablativ)

Maybe I'll make a vid of my own and post it as a response to yours.

    yours truly,

    Skippy1411

  • lol i think i'm in there too but i still dont know where. I like your comment Noel! Liz and i thank you.

ps: I'm glad you see yourself in there because we were hoping the viewers would identify with it in some way. Its very much a psychological look at things.

  • Good work! I thought four and a half minutes might be a little long but not a bit of it. I'm probably in there somewhere but am a bit scared to say where exactly.

  • Strange. I can hear the Ssshhh... on the stills with the finger on the lips. That person is looking to me and I am happy to oblige. Very strange indeed. Even mystical. Was that the intention ? A most remarkable video.

  • Thx for the comment Paul, we were looking at making an artistic statement for the beholder to personally interpret, but also, the philosophical message was a call for unity amidst historical secular/religious division. The shooshing man represents the evil of ignorance(dont think, dont feel etc) in the context of the vids call for oneness.

  • Captivating.

  • Excellent work, Liz. What does "Vir In Suus Locus" mean?

  • thx for watching and approving, malonezone, thot i'd replied earlier and it didn't post! 'man in his place' is the answer (its on the title page, however so brief)

  • yeah, I noticed the title card this time. oops. thanks for the response.

  • It could also mean "man of courage (or hero) in his situation! I studied Latin!! (In Caesar's time)! I don't think you need to interpret this. I prefer to sit back, relax & enjoy the artistry!6 starz!!

  • Absolutely perfect. wonderful video :) I enjoyed this a lot.

  • All I can say is WOW!

  • Nice. There was some great images in here as well as a couple of my favourite all time paintings. I'm a huge Magritte fan - love "the lovers".

  • This is amazing. It is very deep and moving; I have to watch it a few more times. With so many important works of art (no not me!) it brings to mind an incredible witness to what mankind has experienced. We are indeed complicated.

  • Thx River, and you indeed are a work of art, of the very best kind! :)

  • Well done! G

  • And you too Liz (will be expecting my catalog of Ukrainian men--sans Vodka--at your convenience.)

  • We humans are a talented bunch, aren't we?

    Very nice stuff, Sainter!

  • Thx Hermgirl. Talent = you! :)

  • Vir in Suus Locus just may be the finest still image video on Youtube for both its technical and artistic merits. If there was a Youtube/Google award for outstanding achievement in still image videography this would have to be at the top of everyones list. Outstanding. Teejay.

  • Lovely!

  • Yes, it is in everything we can percieve and all things beside that.

But which one of these two is really guided by the other? A human spiral that ends where it began?

I see some questions in here and can't do anything but wonder... are their "answers" rhetorical?

  • Thx for your considered comment Zea. I see both sides guiding eachother because it is human nature to search our physical and spiritual domain in tandem. The images in this vid reflect the need for a certain unity, so in this context any answers gleaned would hopefully be non-rhetorical and even perhaps stars to be guided by. :)

  • Exceptional video. The duality is noted but so is a certain unity.

  • well said Mike, you got it!! :)

  • VERY well put together, guys! :) Great images, perfect timing.

  • Well edited and excellent choice for music and artwork.

  • BRAVA!!!

I spied our cute little RiverBirch in there too! :D

    -Tushy-

  • heh I thought it was Mother Mary! *wink*

  • That was fabulous!

  • Fabulously edited. Great job. 5 stars! Too tired to say anything intelligent, but refer to MrE's comment :-)

  • I loved this video - wonderfully done. I also loved the choice of music!

  • awesome squared. thank you

  • Beautifully done! WOW ..

  • an absolutely beautiful video! Very well put together. Excellent job!

  • Faith cant be separated anymore from science and more than Hydrogen can be separted from oxygen (wth disastrous consequence)

Its already been in the news that they know the outcome of any experiment is affected by the thoughts of the experimenter. I'd call that a shoe-in for faith.

  • Wonderfully stated - I have been trying to make that very point to several people on UTube who want to be convinced by science that everything is what it should be. I have stated that none of us are unbiased enough, our experiences distort or perceptions, and that our science is still in its infancy in the grand scale of things. Great comments.

  • Ummm...nothing more to add than this. Thanks, MrE!

  • Thx for your comment Mystery. Duality in the context of this vid is "two sides of the one coin," thus oneness is indisputable, however, the duality inferred reflects western man's habit of choosing only one or the other. We take sides that should not be taken and sadly cultism can arise from this attitude. The vid is in some ways a search to reveal this flaw in our nature, but also it is an attempted work of art in which all opinion is really interpretation. This was the intention. :)

  • Marvelously crafted. with dali, alex grey, fractals and more. great collection of images. And the music is sophisticated. What is that Mozart?

But i would beg to differ with the premise. ven though it could be seen as a prevailing trend, it is by no means true. The duality is a oneness.

  • I'm trying to pick it but i can't. Can't see any faults. If i had dreamed of the way it would be, it would look just like this.

  • aahhhm, the things that dreams are made of...you made, Saint!

  • Nice job, Wayner!
