  • Replaced the big 470 uF cap; and indeed it fixed that wavy problem. Thanks for the info!!!!

  • I got the same exact 'wobble wave' going on my EZ20; other than that all works fine. So, you're telling me changing that big Cap. (470uF / 160V) would resolve my problem?? I ordered a picture -and soundboard cap. kit anyway. Wouldn't hurt to replace those oldies I assume.

  • I HATE those Sanyo EZ-20's. I've re-capped mine about 3 times, in the past 5 years.

And now, the sound board AND moitor need re-capping. I may just spend the $250 for a new monitor.

  • coooll

  • The ripple effect on the screen is quite nice.

Like somebody shaking a carpet or towel.

  • I have a similar problem with my G07 monitor in my Dig-Dug, but also seem to have this odd problem where the screen shrinks and gets darker randomly. Check out my videos to see what I mean.

  • Turns out it is a bad filter cap. It is the largest capacitor on the board so it's easy to spot.

    470uF 160v 1.5A

  • did the zanen cap kit include all electrolytic capacitors?.. likely not.. could be a open trace in there also.

    regards,

    Chad.
