  • MegaUpLoad is dead.

  • @filipeflower

I know, but I don't want to go through a bajillion video descriptions to delete them from all the descriptions.

  • So why don't you use something else instead ? Like FilesTube or SendSpace ?

  • @filipeflower

That would take too long and those sites are probably next. Honestly just use the Downloader Add-on for firefox or the YouTube Downloader extension on Google Chrome to get the videos from Adamspencer87.

  • 3:08 snakes humour doesnt impress XD

  • I recall the original briefing actually sounding like it was taking place in a room and not a radio station :P

  • Snake: When did the countdown start?

Colonel:23 hours and 59 minutes ago.

    0.0

  • megaupload link is down :(

  • Why did they kill all the ambient sound? It's like listening to a book on MP3.

  • I wonder if there are any men who are like Snake....

  • I want this game but I can't find a decent copy online :/

  • @AdroxFX Did you try Amazon? EBay? Did you even just type it in Google with the Shopping search?

  • @KidAnime20 I did, but they're a bit on the expensive side for a game as old as this.

  • @AdroxFX Yeah, I guess. Not too many people buy it anymore... only natural the price would be high.

  • @KidAnime20 Yeah, So now I'm just gonna see if I can find a decently priced copy somewhere that at least has the boxart in it, at this point I'm fine with it lacking manuals.

Bit of a collector so I just like having things in nice shape

  • e-Bay is not a very trustworthy website, if you ask me.

  • @filipeflower I agree. But it's just an option. Some have better outcomes with it than others.

  • They got the script of the original almost exactly the same as in this remake.

  • @KidAnime20 yeah and it flows a lot more naturally then the original

  • Was that shot which Naomi gave him, Fox-Die?

  • Nah. i think the 2d version of the briefing is better. much cooler then this.

  • the way how snake whimpered when he got the shot made him look like a whimp lol the first briefing made him more badass!

  • LOL! Lame-ass MGS Twin Snakes. lol!

  • the twin snakes cutscenes are well remade, but they added too much action on them, WHY SNAKE HAVE TO DO A FLIP JUST TO DODGE A BULLET? and why theres no toouching and sad music on Grey Fox's death?

  • in the PS1 Solid Snake had long hair then he cut it.

but here it looks like he has short hair

  • this is really slimier to the metal gear solid 1998

  • @mquiroz90 it's exactly the same, Twin snakes is a remake.

  • They did a fantastic job of absolutely fucking ruining the first game's superb briefings.

  • snake + naked = briefing.

    this is a sad day

  • Why does Snake always sound like he's pissed?

  • @AjaxtheWerewolf he is most likely influenced[in creation] on clint eastwood; especially with the early concept art - his stances and the promotional material looks very similar to clint eastwood's portrayal of inspector 'dirty' harry callahan in 'dirty harry': an urban spaghetti western

  • @AjaxtheWerewolf if you were a clone of the world's greatest soldier who sole purpous was to kill him and your best friened and you age rapidly wouldn't you always be pissed?

  • @AjaxtheWerewolf because he's cooler then you

  • The briefing videos are SO much better than from the original!

It seems a little more realistic/movie-like in this one. That's what I like about it!

  • 3:10 Snake says it looks like a spy movie and makes like James Bond

  • That's another uncharacteristic thing.

  • What's the shot for?

    - I'm going to kill you.

    :D

  • wow you got epic quality.

  • "Snake: We need backup from a specialist. I'm just an amateur when it comes to nuclear weapons."

Ironically, Snake has had experience with Metal Gears, which are in essence the same thing as nuclear weapons due to their reputation.

  • It's not the same thing.

  • Bitch shot him with Fox Die!!!

  • @kthem But it's ok! It didn't mutate!

  • i hate the voice acting on this game. i think it ruined the game

  • The voice acting is not so properly maintained in this game.

  • Almost seems a shame that David Hayter (Snake's voice actor) had to fork up half his own paycheck to get the original Metal Gear Solid voice cast back onto the project (that's why you hear Paul Eiding as the Colonel, Cam Clarke as Liquid, etc.), if this was the performance they put up. Bad? No, but not nearly up to snuff as compared with the first MGS. And Naomi's accent IS still there, it's just been greatly toned down-- you have to really listen in order to pick up on it.

  • i recall snake being naked in this, also, the voice acting in the orignal seems so much more intense and just better overall

  • In the original, the lighting made Snake's hair look blond. Hair looks different under many different lightings.

  • but in mgs4 his hair still black you know

  • Snake's hair was gray.

  • i mean if he use the young face camo

  • His hair was brown.

  • blonde

  • Read my last comment. Snake's hair is probably pineapple (brunette on the outside, blond on the inside). Certain lighting can make hair look different colors.

  • yeah but liquid has blonde

  • You said "probably", which means you're not sure of what you're saying.

  • I do know what I'm saying. It is very clear that you are disagreeing with me.

  • Yes, but there's one thing you mis-stated...about Solid Snake's hair color in the original version's Briefing room...his hair didn't appear "blonde", it just appeared lighter than usual. But since there was light above his head, since we were looking through a sepia toned camera's screen and since it was in 1998's comic book style, you can't fall for that assumption.

  • Hence why certain types of lighting can make a person's hair slightly different. Since I have black hair, my hair would look red, or even brown in certain lighting, especially with interrogation lights beaming on me like they did in Snake's hair.

  • You're not the master of probabilities, Voltage2014.

  • Listen to me, you need to stop replying to me with unwanted or completely false comments. You are really starting to annoy me, and it is people like you who give Metal Gear fans a bad reputation.

  • Comment removed

  • You misread my comment, read it again.

I didn't say ANYTHING, that would be used to prove your shit false, so you can't use that against me.

    Try again.

  • Comment removed

  • I was trying to point out the Snake's hair looked blond, when it actually wasn't.

  • Oh, THAT's what you werre trying to imply. Anyway, Snake's hair only appeared to be lighter than usual, not blonde. They made a mistake in this part of the game and that's why they corrected it in 'Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes'.

  • He says his name is David at the end of the game.

  • So ?

  • What're you trying to say ?

  • wow, i seriously liked the voices in the original MGS a lot better. The acting in this was bad in comparison to the original. They sounded soo much more realistic in that one. Not to mention that they removed naomi, meiling and master's accent. It was just dissapointing....

  • Wish we could hear all Nastashas' talking about the weapons snake precures, its quite facinating to hear.

  • Not in this version, conskript.

  • "Thank god, no one wants to see a 3D Nude Snake," you say? I think a lot of people would disagree with you.

  • That's what YOU think, but I agree with Carlitonsp's comment towards that.

  • no, i'm pretty sure that there are many who would disagree and want to see a nude snake.

you ≠ every single MGS fan.

  • of course, this is to filipeflower.

and thank you for the walkthrough, Carltonsp1. i've played the original but this remake is completely new to me. i'm just really happy to see that most of the original voice actors are here as well. ( :

  • You don't know every single M.G.S fan around the world, so you can't fall for that assumption. Also, just because most of the original English voice actors are back (except for Rob Paulsen), that doesn't mean they improved their work.

  • Neither do you, so you can stop acting as if you speak for the entire MGS fanbase.

I'm not... entirely sure I made any comparisons between the voice acting in either game. For someone who complains about others not reading comments properly, you seem to do a lot of misinterpreting, yourself.

  • #1- I never said I spoke for the entire M.G.S fanbase, but you, on the other hand, suggest that idea, when you said "you ≠ every MGS fan". Look at yourself in the mirror, my friend.

#2- In case you haven't noticed, you yourself said "i'm just really happy to see that most of the original voice actors are here as well". And that's when I decided to keep you informed about the voice actors' issue. Rob Paulsen isn't one of the original English voice actors, just to let you know.

  • Wow. I probably shouldn't bother—since you seem to have problems in the reading comprehension department—but:

You seem like the kind of person that absolutely *must* seem more knowledgeable than others at all times. You're probably one of those people that are in love with the sound of their own voice, but really: No one cares. Stop being pushy, shut the fuck up and grow up.

You're just another ass on Youtube trying to seem more important, and smarter, than you really are. :/

  • It's for the Nintendo Gamecube.

  • Wow what a moron. I tried a search of "twin snakes ghosts"..what, they removed the ghosts ?? I remember trying a lil bit, getting the wolf cave ghost photo..my memory cards are always full but I just thought they'd be more creative with Twin Snakes

  • They exist, but they are hard as hell to find.

  • I remember in original MGS1 there was a shitload of ghosts. So what Twin Snakes it's hard to capture the ghost ??

  • Funny though, that the deadline didnt have any effect in the game in the end. You can use as many hours as you want to complite the mission, kinda odd, but understandable.

Wich they could have made a different difficulty level, where the deadline would actually be there, meaning the game would end if you couldnt play it through in 18 hours. Could have been interesting.. :)

  • If you watched the game until the Metal Gear REX battle, you would have know what was going on.

  • What? I cant get the point your making..

    (SPOILERS COMING!)

Or did you mean the fact that they needed Snake to put the detonation codes? Well I still got a feeling that even if you would save after the point Snake has activated the Rex, the game still wouldnt end until you end it. ;)

But true timeline thing would be badass. Have they made such in any game like this ever?

  • Only in the Escape Route.

  • Even that part doesnt mean anything... I tried it once and the game didnt end even when I was still in front of wrecked Rex and countdown went to zero. Would have been cool if it would have ended the game though.

  • Do you know why? Because it was a false threat.

  • Was it? Like I said it´s been a while since I played so I dont remember.

Jim Housemans work? I remeber like he would have truly done it but Roy stopped it by contacting the presiddent or something..

  • lol he forgot it was 18 hours,not 24.

  • No, it was 24 hours, by the time they got Snake on the Shadow Moses there was few hours spent allready, so Snake was on the island when they only got 18 hours left.

In here Colonel says that the countdown started "five hours ago" meaning while this briefing is goin on, they got only 19 hours left. It seems it took another hour to get Snake on Shadow Moses, leading to 18 hours to complite the mission.

  • This game should've been for Ps2

  • It really doesn't matter

  • Because this was Nintendo's request.

  • @Carlitonsp1 actually it does, most Metal Gear fans didn't buy a gamecube because they could only afford one console. and many figured Twin Snakes would do like Subsistance and only be a timed exclusive.

  • @Carlitonsp1

Well, in the matter of convenience, it does matter to an extent. Like for me: If it were for PS2, i could just buy it. But, because it's not, i would need to buy a Gamecube, Camecube Memory Card, Gamecube Controller, and the game.

But, he probably meant that it should've been on the PS2 as a matter of which console is best. In which case, it really doesn't matter.

  • @Carlitonsp1

    ...Yes it does.

    but whatever

  • LOL Snake just got the killer nanomachines....^_^

  • I'm getting a hard on watching Snake... :P

  • He was completly naked in the original version. In here, he's wearing boxers.

  • I know, in the original version it was really hard to make it out but on Twin Snakes I can see that hot bod crystal clear like on HD tv XD. Some say Men look even hotter with their boxers on then out. I on the other hand like both styles lol

  • That's because it was in comic book style in the original version.

  • Did Snake just say Insertion and Penetrate? rofl.

Wow I didnt know the Gamecube had remade MGS1! awesome. I have the PS1 version

  • I liked playing the ps1 version of this game, but I would have sincerely loved to play this version.

  • @mmawrestler04 Me too :(

  • hmm... tis interesting to see snake with longer hair xD lol hawtness <3

  • Is the Twin Snakes an MGS1 remake?

  • Yes

  • the only difference is that you can shoot in 3rd person

  • You mean first person, You could already shoot in third person

  • Demonio94, you can also shoot while in First-Person view mode in the original 'Metal Gear Solid'.

  • really, I don't recall, what like on the pc version? cause I've looked at the ps1 version, and I couldn't get it...

  • LOOK AGAIN!

  • No, you couldn't.

  • Where's your evidence, skankuser ?

  • The fact that I own a PS1 and have the game. You can't look in first person view in the original. That was added with the Twin Snakes remake.

  • Wrong! Play it again. And for your information, I won the original PSOne game too.

  • Now you're just being a god damn troll. Go read the wiki article on the Twin Snakes dipshit. It introduces the first-person view which was first used in MGS2.

    Stop lying asshat.

  • Proove that I'm lying (and by the way, wikipedia is user inputted).

  • Well perhaps you didn't see the article in Nature magazine back in December of 2005 showing that Wikipedia articles were as accurate if not more so than Britannica articles.

Besides. I'm not writing a thesis paper dipshit, so I'm not going to be using JSTOR and LexisNexis for Youtube. Go to the bottom of the article and check the sources.

  • For a person like me who actually has this game, I do not need to verify those "sources".

Let me quote what you said on the "above" comments: - "You can't look in first person view in the original." But you ignore the fact that this is UnTrue. If you call Roy Campbell on the Codec after you put Solid Snake up against the level 1 door in the cell, this is what he says: - "Press the First-Person View button to go into First-Person View mode." That button happens to be triangle.

  • @skankuser u can really see in first person view mode in ps1 but NOT firing weapons that in the MGS2

  • Except for the fact that a lot of people would love to see solid snake naked.

  • milkbeforebed69, when was the last time you made an interview ?

  • It was always Nastasha.

  • isnt mei ling supposed to be the nuclear weapons specialst

  • No, Nastasha is

  • well they should have kept it mei ling

  • It was never Mei Ling

  • in metal gear solid 1 the original version not the remake jeeeezzz

  • In both versions, it was still Nastasha

  • mei ling handled the gear is wat i ment but still

  • Oh, Mei Ling still handles the gear

  • No, this is the optional Briefing Menu, but this will keep the players better informed.

  • Fox...? Die...

  • I really liked the 'comic'style of the PS briefing files. I have to admit.

  • With you on that one.

  • umm... the injection that naomi used... was it the foxdie virus?

  • Part of it

  • Onyl a part of it? Where is the other part?

  • Part of the Injection was FoxDie, not the other way around

  • after watching this vid, i believe they should've ported over to the ps2 just for the mgs essential collection

  • They can't, Konami made this game with Silicon Knights and Nintendo, meaning that they would need their permission first.

  • do i need to explain myself? i think i do...bit i'll swend it in a messege

  • But this is a Nintendo exclusive remake and it wouldn't make sense to see Mario and Yoshi and a GameCube in a Sony games collection.

  • Actually there's something very close to that happening in another game, in Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, you have to blow off the head of a giant 8-bit Mario Statue

  • I don't what does that has to do with what I said, but either way, it wouldn't make much snese. They just couldn't.

  • what difficulty did you play on?

  • Extreme

  • You didn't have to play it on Extreme. Were you doing this so that people couldn't call you "noob"?

  • No, I just wanted to show off

  • Nice one.

  • in the original MGS game on PSX, during briefing snake hair was long and same color as liquid's. according to the original MGS his hair was cut shorter and changed color after briefing.

  • Then why did his hair become permanently Black from this point?

  • take a look at the original MGS PSX briefing video, you'll see it. he had to change is appearance because he looked just like his twin (Liquid). in the original MGS briefing they told him he looked like the terrorist leader (Liquid) making him cut his hair and change the color,i don't know why i stayed black.

  • But in Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, his hair was Dark Brown, so was it Blonde, ONLY for the Briefing? (I own the Subsistence version of MGS3, it comes with the old games.

  • It was the Camera's view style that made us think he was blonde, but he wasn't.

  • I assumed that earlier until I heard him say that he dyed his hair, damn Sepia tone.

  • WHAT? Solid Snake never said that!

  • I meant KrazAce120

  • He's mis-informed about that.

  • Carlitonsp, don't pay attention to this repetitive theory.

  • its red light and i think its nv too so yea his hair looks werid

  • What He Means Is His Hair Was Black But It Was Long Like Liquids So He Had To Cut It, He Didn't Mean That It Was Blond Too.

  • Of course.

  • Comment removed

  • Niceeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Sweet, man! Wooo!
