After drinking Diet Pepsi back in 1995, my life changed. The aspartame wreaked havoc on my digestive tract. Last year August 2010 I had a total colectomy. Please stay away from diet sweeteners. I thought I was invincible at age 33 but thanks for Donald Rumsfled, Ronald Reagan, and the FDA approval of aspartame, they proved me wrong. Now I'm disabled.

@hopefulbeef Do you have a problem with that? Either way, it wouldn't necessarily be the case, they could have a j-pouch, or something of the sort, which is internal, not external.
a colectomy which this was says is a "total" one means to remove the entire colon...but that is a large amount of tissue and i was expecting an elephant to be laying there......
