  • At my school we're doing Morning Glow as the big finale at showcase.

  • my school is doing this, my school is doing this, my school is doing this.....

    .......ahhhhh shaddap!

  • in our production of pippin we're using this as our act 1 finale

  • @britishpenguins21 We'll that's awkward

  • @bigguykansas how is that awkward exactly?

  • @britishpenguins21 there's an entire scene after this song that would be odd to cut I think... also there is an act 1 finale in the script, why cut it out?

  • I'm singing this song in my music class :D

  • I remember this performance years ago in NYC. Still the best.

  • This song still makes me cry! Whoa!

  • @2:10, goosebumps, every time.

  • in april i did this show at north gate high school with puffyniplzzz as charlemagnes i was theo

    im superairsoftaustins new acount

  • thumbs up if your here cause your a "greatest american hero" fan!

  • @LadyScorpio39 Right here, believe it or not! ;)

  • @NeverDoubt1

    LOL, me too!!!

  • When my high school first heard we were doing Pippin, we were not at all excited; horrified in fact. We just finished performing it a week or 2 ago, and it was by far one of my favorite plays to ever be a part of. The music is phenomenal, and its a load of fun to act in. I hope I get to be a part of a Pippin cast again in the future. (reppin King Charlemagnes everywhere!)

  • Did anyone else hear William Katt's voice crack at 0:53?

  • i played theo please show some theo scences

  • I just got done doing this musical with my high school... oh how magical Pippin is...

  • I loooove Michael Jackson's version.

  • I'm currently in a production of this as the Leading Player. I will ALWAYS love this show! SO MUCH!

  • I love this song in my production. I just get to lie there with a knife in my back

  • @Kutazing Haha, our Charlemagne had this gigantic rug (don't ask) as his cape, and you could see him sigh in relief when they put it on Pippin.

  • @Kutazing you and me both! This was my favorite song in the whole show. It was my last in my senior year, and my best friend played Pippin. Watching him walk up the platform and block my view of the lights put me in a sobfest every night.

  • too bad william katt was in this, anyone else??

  • I was the beheaded Visigoth who gave pippin a life lesson....

  • Love this show so far.. I just got cast in our local theater's production of this. I am a band of players.

  • I hated this show when I saw it in 1973. Hated it more when I was in a production in 1979. And there is a good reason it has not been revived. It ran 5 years and would seem to be a ripe for a new production but it simply stinks and is so dated.

  • Comment removed

  • @pudgeuncle its not dated if you actually understood what it was about. The themes are timeless.

  • @NicoleJade5 YES!!!! IT NEEDS TO GO BACK ON BROADWAY!

  • 1981.....where have all the flowers gone

  • i love the way william katts voice sounds at 2:31!!!! EPICCC

  • Kat Williams is Pimpin pipin

  • william katt is an AMAZING pippin!

i jkust bought the dvd...he is amazing in every scene! best pippin ive scene! and this is one of my fav songs in the show

  • Katt Williams, Pimpin?

  • My high school is singing this song in our Christmas program this year. Just on YouTube looking up the show. It looks great! I can't wait to find this DVD.

  • This song kinda reminds me of a christmas song, can't remember which. Most specifically the last verse. Pretty song though!

  • me 2!

  • I was the spotlight for the boy who played Pippin in our school production.....I've been dating him ever since X)

I owe so much to this play.

  • u mean u were the one he liked?sorry if tht sounds dumb, i dnt no the paly, x x x x

  • Could you possibly post the scene right after this one? Up until the "Don't let it happen again" line? That would be great if you could! I can't find it anywhere. Thanks! Angela

  • Did you know that William Katt was screentesting 1975 for "Luke Skywalker " in Star Wars.

Intresting if he got the part...

  • did this in 1983 and still remember all the songs. top musical and timeless songs.if you like michael jacksons version then try supremes singing i guess ill miss the man.

  • im going to rent this

    never seen it

  • My school did this musical 25 years ago. I was Bertha and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I am now 42 and Pippin will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for posting, BestArtsMusic!

  • For trying out for this, would you agree with a song from Wicked to use?

  • Never audition for a show with a song from "Wicked". You will not be taken seriously.

  • don't you think that telling someone that on the last showdate is kinda late?

  • @atncc1701 I was Fastrada in my community's rendition of this. SO MUCH FUN! I'd never even heard of Pippin before then. But like you said, it has a special place in my heart too now! =)

  • @atncc1701

that is cool i played theo in a high school play

  • @atncc1701 I was a musical fan from elementary school. I think drama programs can do a lot of positive things for children that last their entire life time.

  • My school just got done doing this play about a week ago! Damn it feels weird not having it be there everyday...yet I still find myself and some of my fellow cast men singing this under our breath in the hall!^^

    Favorite Musical EVER!

  • Dude same here!

    WAR IS A SCIENCE DUDE!!

  • Simple joys make it all better!^^

  • this is my senior musical! I like their set a lot better, but ours has an unnecessary bridge. So maybe it evens out.

  • I like the way michael jackson did this in 1973

  • Thanks for posting this. I just bought Pippin on dvd because you made me aware that it was available!!! Can't wait to recieve it in the mail.

  • I think it's time for a revival of pippin on Broadway...

  • meh to!!! GO PIPPIN!!!

  • I saw it yesterday in LA, they were very good.

  • Comment removed

  • Did you see the production with Michael Arden?

  • I saw the 10 minute video here, but would pay real money for the entire DVD.

  • Yes I did!! Well, he wasn't alone, there was the signing Pippin as well...

  • I totally agree!

  • Couldn't agree more!

  • HeY Ihave a get idea for an amazing production, but it would cost a whole lot more than a normal broadway production, and it wouldn't "really" be on broadway, but it would be very tourable!

  • @NicoleJade5

I was just thinking the same thing.

  • @NicoleJade5 AGREED

  • @NicoleJade5 I know this was posted 2 years ago, but I believe they are! Unless, of course, it was a lie... Which would make me very, VERY sad that I was lied to.

  • @NicoleJade5 I couldn't agree more, pippin is probably my absolute favorite musical and I just can't get enough every year now I am going to all the high school musicals just to see it live.

  • @NicoleJade5 youll have to convince ppl to stop doing it around the country. we just closed one here.

  • @NicoleJade5 Gavin Creel just did a reading...its very possible. :-)

  • @NicoleJade5 realistically though, no one's going to watch this, when you've got to compete with wicked, spiderman, lion king, and phantom to name a few, not to mention next years RENT, and this years godspell revival, and billy elliot.

  • @NicoleJade5 Well, now they're doing GODSPELL!!!!

  • i was theo in pippin as a kid and this was my favorite song ever! of coarse i didn;t really understand but now that i've gotten older i lov eit so much!!

  • I saw John Rubenstein in the Orginal....He kicked ass!!!

  • ooooo he is sexy

  • He was so absolutely beautiful. Very attractive. Look at his body! He was 30 years old when he played Pippin in 1981. Now he's 57... :-(

  • Anyone else catch him crack at .54?

  • One of my favorite musical songs of all time

  • I know, Bob Fosse could take on Kenny Ortega any day and still win and Bob Fosse's dead. He was such a good choreographer

  • Yes but Ben Vereen was his mentoree and he is still around.

  • how can you even compare BOB EFFING FOSSE to kenny ortega?!?!

thats like comparing harvard to drivers ed!!

  • it's such a light song it has that morning feeling a great song

  • I had never seen this musical, and only knew this song from an OLD Michael Jackson recording (which he sang beautifully when he was probably 15 or so). I am also a William Katt fan so now I'm gonna watch the whole musical on you tube. Thanks for posting this!

  • ok mom, but i don't think the whole thing is on youtube! ;)

  • I was a monk in this play mnk 3 and three girls played the monks me and my friends it was so awesome i wish that it never had to end I miss it so much!!! T_T =)

  • do you think i can still find this dvd in stores?
