I read that they changed b/c they wanted to incorporate the city into their set and b/c of The Morning Show.

mmm and screwed it all up by dumping new GFX and moving around the set for TMS

they changed the set because it was highly recommended by viewers and sunrise agreed. they have relaunched again now and everything has changed and the new set was designed by an award winning man who designed many american sets.
