  • Excellent work! In the future, I would recommend keeping a neutral field of view for your audience though. Shirts with pictures and writing on them can be a distraction for a viewer. Very nicely done, otherwise. I'm guessing you got an A! :)

  • I never tapped a deaf girl before where you live girliey (;

  • I love sign language, and I can't stand how people trash talk others for what they do. I've taken two years of ASL so far. I have an ASL dictionary to help me out even more. I actually want to start putting up songs that I do. Good job, even though there isn't music, and keep up the good work! (:

  • I believe you did well. You definitely need to show more emotion. A huge part of ASL is face expression. I believe once you learn that...you will see huge improvement. Good job! I personally am an Interpreter. I not only interpret but I have cousins whom are Deaf. Keep up the good work. The more you practice the better you will be! Don't let anyone hold you back from something you enjoy!

  • You did a good job. But never stop practicing. You seem pretty confident. Remember that everyone signs differently, so you'll learn more as you pursue your learning which will reflect your skills in the future. Keep up the good work. I'm becoming an Interpreter for the Deaf-and my Deaf teachers always remind us, "Confidence is the key to success!" Good job!

  • Your asl are pretty well. I don't see any mistakes. Hope your project are passed! ;)

  • it nice sign great :)

  • Deaf people didn't notice or care there wasn't music. ;oP

  • u did really good for an asl 1 class

  • just for my opinion... the people who comment about her being deaf (which she has told several times she is HOH), I dont think that it really matters if she moves her lips to it... it helps the deaf who do just english, or who pay attn to lip movement... and also there is a thing called SIM COM which is you speak and sign at same time so it is equal communication. If you r not learning ASL, highly reccommend it...

  • good job

  • just make sure when you sign coffee that you move your hands above each other because wen you gride them into each other it's a sign for making out lol

  • Very good video but you should remember to keep looking at your audience (in this case your camera) rather than giggling at something the camera person might be saying or doing. Also try to put more emotion into your signing

  • Liked the work you've done. Just remember to think less about the technical signing and more about the music because it'll show in your facial expressions. But otherwise nicely done.

  • Keep up for the good job

  • What does it matter if she's hearing or not? I see comments like this on alot of ASL videos. You don't need to be from a Spanish speaking country for it to be okay to speak Spanish.

  • I am hard of hearing but i'm oral. I started taking an ASL class in high school. I only do it for fun and as my second language requirement. it also helps me communicate with my friends that are deaf.

  • Where di this come from? o.0

  • I'm impressed even without the music or the knowledge of sign language i was able to follow along quite well. :D Would have been easier if she opened her mouth more as she lipped

  • In many sign language classes you aren't allowed to lip the words during presentations.

  • if she were deaf she wouldn't be in asl 1

  • thats not nessisaraly true

  • Very Good

  • I CANT HEAR CUZ IM DEAF LOL NICE SHOW...

  • >.> there is no sound

  • no sound

  • Not suppose to be sound ^^u

  • it is really good to practise. well this summer i'm going to the aspen hard of hearing and daf camp.i'm hearing

  • hey, it good to practice, good job.

    well, i am deaf person.

  • r u stupid?? ugh n/o to any one else just because she is signing doesnt mean she cant hear or talk!

  • She probably isn't deaf. And just because someone is deaf doesn't mean they can't speak and they certainly don't need sympathy. They are perfectly capable people who don't need pity.

  • @caecandy Deaf/hard of Hearing people don't need pity either.

  • @caecandy im heard of hearing yo can I can speak perfectly fine like the others. However I was born hearing before so thats probably why.

  • very nice job. you're doing great. you are on track : )

  • thats why you learn asl dumbasses. *FLIPS U OFF IN SIGN* Alligatorsnapper501. U did great Tljdancer.

  • you're a dumbass.

  • LOL,

uhs i think the point of this film is umms... something called Sign language. haha

  • how about you singing it while signing?

  • not as easy as you think.

  • ASL isn't only your hands, it's facial expressions and body expression.

That's probably more than ASL 1.

There was a deaf family in my church for a while and their interpretor was amazing.

You could stop listening, watch him, and completely understand the sermon or the hymns, w/o even knowing ASL.

  • I actually started wearing earplugs to church. There is an amazing interpretor there that makes it so much more enjoyable.

  • everyone make sign videos they cant stop us all !!

  • cool i guess

  • You aren't the only one... it's happening to allyballybabe, too. :(

  • Use your face not just your arms. The trick to getting the meaning and not just the words across in ASL songs is to use facial expression. This will help convey the meaning across to the audience.

  • there us no music. u should put the music t it

  • it had music but youtube told me I had infringement blalha blah blah because i singed to an artist music without permisson so they deleted my other videos but i agreed to post this one without music. it's crazy and i think they suck. I guess they target certain accounts because all ASL videos are done to music. I don't know...SORRY thanks for the comment <3

  • yeh i remember ur video used to have song

    POST IT ON SIGNTUBE! lol

  • yuhr cute..

  • *continued*

with other signs, like "live" and "life" you signed live, when you meant life :-D also, you do need facial expression, its most important!

and the last thing is, the camera was bouncing which was VERY distracting and made it even more difficult to read you signs. but other then those few minor things, you were great! how did you do? i am assuming its done becuase of the date this was added. Did you continue ASL? and do you have a vid of your improvements?

  • ok, it was really good, couple things, you probably already know-dont know if you still need feedback-probably not though... 1) you already know its not in ASL, its in English. thats ok, i practice my signs just by signing and im in the 5 lvl class :-D 2) different background and shirt. You were signing white hands on a light shirt and a white background. its hard to see your signs clearly. the best thing is to wera black and stand in front of a black background. you are also confusing some sign

  • easy flow...i luv it!! i like the way you sign "Thousand"

  • very good!

  • your in asl 1!?!?! wow that amazing! you good sign! but... some sign is in english sign that ok tho. you do very good for beginer. keep on sign and soon you b well on way to b interpereter. Well... that it. GOD BLESS!!!

  • I like how you sign the song, but this wasn't too of ASL. You need to make faces along when you sign. But when you smile, that is cute. Another feedback is when you fingerspell numbers, do it clearly please. :) That was good though.

  • i like this.

but it wasnt in asl grammer.

i cant sign songs reading them is to hard.

  • you did really well. but i dont think thats the sign for minutes... the way ive been taught minutes is you have both of your index fingers up on your left and right hand and rest the right hand on the left index finger then flick the right hand down. You did really well! i loved it

  • That is the sign for minutes, there are at least a couple here in the west coast for minutes, but it can change regionally too.

  • ohh. ya. i actually learned the sign she uses a few days after i posted my comment on here.. lol

  • hello...

  • You did a wonderful job on this song. It is my favorite from the broadway RENT. I am really happy that you tried to convey all of the singers. It's really more of a multiple signing song, so it's wonderfully done by you.

  • when signing the first number make sure that your palm is facing towards your body, try to use more facial expressions, but other than that amazing! hope that this helps.

  • I just have one thing. I learned two with your pointer and your middle finger, the way you signed it looked like an l. im not trying to be rude, just helpful. You also looked a little nervous, but that goes away with practice. ALso remeber facial expressions! Other then that you did good. Awesome. Keep up the good work. :D

  • when she signed the 'L' she was signing the 20 in 25. i learned the sign for 25 differently, but I still know what she meant.

But simplepotternerd is right, you do look nervous and you look like you're looking around for help. Good job though! you actually taught me the sign for seasons ^.^

  • You did a very good job. =) Just use more emotion! =)

  • You did amazing. Just a little more emotion might help though. I enjoyed this.

  • wow you're REALLY good at this

i wanna be able to sign this song too

    thanks for showing me

  • Brava! :)

  • This was REALLY good. Since you wanted feed back I would say try role shifting the chorus with the solo singer and maybe get more into the music. Being very animated in ASL makes everything clearer and more interesting to watch.

  • I cant beleive the rude comments you are getting from a few people on here. I personally think for being in ASL 1 You did an excelent job!

  • thanks for the add and positive feedback :)

  • i thik that you were really good. i was also in ASL 1 this year and i know how hard it is to learn songs. im also veryo shy too, i was nervous to perform them in front of my class.

  • this is really good! I signed the same song for a project and I'm finding different signs for the same word. good job! :)

  • you did really good! I love that song!

  • Are you deaf or hearing?

  • I am hard of hearing. I have a severe hearing loss. This was my 1st year in ASL.

  • you are so rude, she is only in her 1st year of ASL. thats why it says ASL 1.

  • really good. just needs more expression

  • I am 13 and I have known sign laungage for 5 or 6 years now. And wow.. That was amazing. Ur so good !

  • i am 13 years old and deaf..wheni lost mey hearing 2 years ago i wasnervous to use facial expretions and i guess that is how you feel but dont feel shy..plus if you dont use facial expretions it may be immpossible to convey the message. but other than that i thnk you did good

  • I am hoh but oral , I have friends that are deaf and very expressive I try but I guess i'm kinda shy but i did get a A on this project this is my 1st year in ASL i am oral. I sometimes miss alot sorry but thanks for the comment how did you lose your hearing? I was born this way.

  • i dont really know how it happened all that i know is that my ear drums exploded and i was permenatly left this way but i think you still did good and a good job on the A!!!

  • that really great.

  • thanks :)

  • Smooth for the most part. Your 25 is correct. there are many ways to sign numbers. some people dont realise that... *cough* Anyway. You need to use facial emotion... The fact that you smiled in sad parts make the song pointless. But I'm guessing this was for a grade... so b+

    ~Bug~

  • Besides signing englishy and signing 25 wrong (you just need to bend the middle finger with the rest of your palm facing out if that makes sense) but you gotta feel the music. You're all right at the begining, but you have to move with the music. If you were interpreting for real the deaf people wouldn't be ble to get a feel for what the song "sounds" like. Your hands need to dance.

  • Lol i love the ending <3 :P

  • wow, thats impressive for ASL 1. i hope you become an interpreter or a DSS

  • good job.

    i love that song!

but you signed it a little english-y.

    but, still really goood.

    =]

  • Thanks, I sign really english-y, this is my 1st year in ASL :)

  • You didn't sign 25 wrong but you signed it in english instead of ASL...I learned 25 the way you did and only later when I learned more ASL found out that the ASL version is much easier to do! :-)

    Laurie

  • good job. at the end, cute accent! lol

  • you signed 25 wrong

  • Duh, seasons of love lmfao sorry

  • Whats this song called anyways?

  • Hey!!!

    It's me...the crazy deaf dude ;-)

This was awesome. I kind of thought maybe you were fluent actually. You just need to work on the harmony of your signs. The "flow" i guess? But other than that, you're doing an awesome job. :-)

  • hey crazy deaf dude ;p!!

    its me...deaf chick ;]

ahaha yea thanks. I had to sign that song for school. for a grade. once i find out what my grade is... ill let you know how i did ;].. i think i did good actually. an now i have to pick a song to sign again. for just me to sign and no else in the class??? get it? well anyways .. what would be a good song? any ideas? help?

    :]
