He might be a bit over weight, have his hair dyed black, and dressed in some sort of slacks and button down shirt...but if you know Schenker you know this is him. You can tell by the way he holds his guitar between his legs on jams, the way he uses and doesn't use his pinky, and the way he rocks out on stage with Pete Way. He may be going thru it personally, as Mike will often do, but this is 100% without a doubt the one and only Michael Schenker.
sucks we can't see em all together... Saw em in 76,77,78 and had tickets to the MSG in 82 but he was too buzzed to play... Saw Phil with his make believe band in 2010... Hope they can all get thier visas and play the states again!

@Axelsanx Yeah, it's Schenker - no question. His vibrato on key notes in the melodic solo starting at 4:03 is his alone, as is his 3-finger, 6-fret finger span on his killer solo at the end. He still stands hunkered over the guitar for his kick-ass solos like he did in the old days of long blond hair. Besides, I pay no attention to the hair color - it's gray like mine now. I just look at the fingers - LOL! Schenker is God.

I've been keeping a close watch on these guys since 1973 (I'm 53 dude!), and a guitar player myself, and I'm pretty sure Rudolf is able to solo quite well, although you are right - he plays only rhythm guitar with Scorpions. And it surely isn't Vinnie! Michael holds the guitar differently than this guy does - it's obvious.
@deanplmr am 51 so I've been around the block too dude, this is Michael, check out G3 Satriani, Michael & Uli, same guitar ( the FV he used with Walk on Water tour,with the number 4 on it) same look same playing I still don't know why he dyed his hair black, you can tell when is Rudy soloing,Rudy doesn't solo like this! I think you must've skipped a few years keeping a close watch on these guys!

Major UFO fan here - I've seen every lineup through the years; even Atomic Tommy on guitar, but the original lineup + Andy Parker still rules. Long live UFO - we now have Vinny - can't wait to see them again next time round!
Seen this band several times through the 80's, 90's and in fact last Sat in Glasgow. I love the classic line up but i'm just glad they're still playing and i thought Vinnie was superb on guitar! So many good memories i can associate with this fantastic band.
These guys were the real deal. They really started the whole Metal Thing. I seen them at the Ampitheater in Chicago twice. Once with Cheap Trick, Lights Out tour and once with Molly Hatchet & City Boy, Obsession tour. Also check out the 1st 2 Scorps albums, Michael's on them and they have a Chicago address inside. Any fan of UFO is a ok in my book. I was just in a cranky mood. I listened to teh Lights Out album for years back at the end of the 70s beginning ofthe 80's. Schenker rocked my world, especially Rock Bottom. Songs like these will never die. The band just poured their heart and soul into it. Bands today are so over produced on their studio albums that they cannot possibly reproduce it live. It also shows the immense talent Michael, Peter and the band have. Just look at these guys, they are spent after the shows, because of the energy expended. Long live GREAT music like UFO!!!!
This song is better with the passing of years. Michael Shenkar jut really pours his heart out. The only musician who can even hold a candle to him is an obscure violinist/composer named Mary Lee Taylor.

Axe! I have so much respect for Vinnie but when he plays Michael's songs it just doesn't do it for me! I tried to love it but seeing him in a venue where I'd seen Michael play and had met him before; it was cool to see Phil and Paul but the solos were just not quite there; but we have to take what we can get live, so thanks so much for posting these fucking incredible videos!!!!!!!

People that are saying this is people that seen UFO lately or Vinnie fans,like me, I just saw UFO this year and I like the way they are sounding now & I have been a fan of Vinnie Moore from his Instrumental albums & seen him opening for Schenker,borrowing Schenker's Back up band, Bassist (Sparks) & Drummer(Gaalaas) & Keyboardist(Findley) who had played in 1 or 2 albums,

Songs like these will never die. The band just poured their heart and soul into it. Bands today are so over produced on their studio albums that they cannot possibly reproduce it live. It also shows the immense talent Michael, Peter and the band have. Just look at these guys, they are spent after the shows, because of the energy expended. Long live GREAT music like UFO!!!!

This song is better with the passing of years. Michael Shenkar jut really pours his heart out. The only musician who can even hold a candle to him is an obscure violinist/composer named Mary Lee Taylor.
