This video can be true and there was no reason for the UAV to be shut down if it had no weapon or stand at a specific distance from the warship. The US warship could shut down this UAV anytime, but it didn't want to waste a missile. @wags155 There's 4 catapults on that deck. Plus there's too many aircraft for it to be the Admiral Kuznetsov. Besides, both of the aircraft on the front catapults have the large radar disc profile of an E-2C Hawkeye. Russian's do not have an equivalent AWACs platform. It might be the USS Enterprise, and to be fair it doesn't entirely fit the profile of a Nimitz, but point being it's definitely an American carrier.

This video can be true and there was no reason for the UAV to be shut down if it had no weapon or stand at a specific distance from the warship. The US warship could shut down this UAV anytime, but it didn't want to waste a missile. The UAV could give Iranian military a firm message that don't fuck with US, they could obviously see the US warship weapon.

If they can't come up with a gyro stabilized, High Definition camera with GPS position on screen and some rf shielding then they are about 25 years behind the rest of the world in UAV technology. No way this is Iranian or anyone else but a hand held camera from a helo or other aircraft taken in about 1984. @wags155 There's 4 catapults on that deck. Plus there's too many aircraft for it to be the Admiral Kuznetsov. Besides, both of the aircraft on the front catapults have the large radar disc profile of an E-2C Hawkeye. Russian's do not have an equivalent AWACs platform. It might be the USS Enterprise, and to be fair it doesn't entirely fit the profile of a Nimitz, but point being it's definitely an American carrier.

@ustexan55 Note passing through the Strait of Hormuz and into the Gulf is different from cruising the North Arabian Sea. I dont think a CVN has passed the Strait since 2007 when Iran began firing anti-ship missiles into the water during exercises.

This Isn't UAV footage. The aircraft are aligned on the deck like it’s a port call, and, look at the blur in the upper right. This is news footage altered to make it look like UAV footage.
