Believe me folks I tried this when my house was hit by an F5 tornado. It doesn't work it worked for a few seconds until both arms and my legs were ripped off then i was a bloody mess. You know.. I dunno if Twister is a famous movie. But to me, it never gets boring.

I watch this movie annually. And I'd always insist on watching from head to toe instead of watching my favourite scenes only.

The most memorable scene would be this one. Where they drove into the corn field and Dorothy flies.Another one that I like is the part where Bill drove Jo's yellow truck, the only sad thing about it was it got twisted away ._. .

Hell, I even built that scene out of Legos when I was 8!

F5's, as they said before, are real, just rare, and the tornado blowing over the house can happen as well - watch the special affects for this movie. They had real life storm chasers helping them with it to get it as accurate as possible.

F-5s are very real, but also very rare. i remeber one when i was 3-4. i was in the car w/ my mom and we were trying to keep from dying because it was folowing US. the only thing that saved our lives was a left turn. F-5s are real, and the house part can happen, its happened to me.

There are different levels of F5's. The one that ripped the limbs off the people and all that...probably was a much stronger F5 than seen in this movie. We dont know how fast the wind velocity was in this --- just that it was an F5 which vary in wind strength as I listed below.

An F5 tornado has speeds of 260-320 MPH. That wouldn't rip someone apart >_> Wrapping themselves in LEATHER and hanging on like they did to those pipes ...its very, very likely they'd survive. Wind speeds like that can throw your ass a good damn distance but it wont kill you if you are anchored. It is a miracle though that they weren't hit by debris....but at the base their wouldn't be too much anyway.

@Nayon1 look up pictures from the 1996 Jarrell TX. Tornado it was an F5 and ripped arms and legs from people and livestock, some cattle had their hides totaly ripped clean, video here on you tube.

Not to mention with all that lightning inside the vortex, they could have been struck by not just flying debris, but also lightning.
