Chem, I told you, Pac sold #1 because he continued having albums after he died. If Biggie had the same opportunity he would DEFINITELY sell more, he sold more when they were both alive. And the critics that say he was best of all time are from SOURCE magazine. I mean if you really want to argue who got more "media love" then Biggie would win because MORE rappers today quote him and say Rest In Peace to him than 2pac. lol sorry.

Ok Clonjey, here are more facts, Source Magazine is located where???New York so no surprise about the magazine's opinion however it's the fans' voices that matters most so In 2003, MTV's "22 Greatest MCs" countdown listed Tupac as the "number 1 MC", as voted by the viewers & A Vibe magazine poll in 2004 rated Tupac "the greatest rapper of all time" as voted by fans....Also In 2004, at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors Tupac was honored along with other Hip Hop Artist, so why wasn't Biggie Honored?

So are you trying to say Biggie wasn't honored because he wasn't good enough? lol. No, 2pac made meaningful music, that's why. (And all of the other critic sources you named are located in New York as well btw). Saying the "fan's voices" is not even fair in comparison because Biggie only had 4 albums in total due to his untimely death, and one is his greatest hits. The truth is they are not comparable since they are different styles and are portrayed different in the media.

I'm not saying he wasn't good enough, I'm just saying out of about 8 different hip hop artist/ groups, Tupac was one of those who was honored and Biggie wasn't....Like you it was said earlier, Source Magazine made it's opion as a MAGAZINE that Biggie was better (East Coast), btut although MTV, VH1 and Vibe are East Coast too, it was all about what the FANS believe, not the Channel or Magazine itself which makes a big difference, because as I stated before, it's the fans voices that count:)

That's a good point. The only problem is that I would definitely pick the opinion of a Magazine with qualified hip-hop critics to pick who is a better rapper, rather than the general public who would rank Soulja Boi among the greatest MC's of all time lol. So the fan's voices being what counts is really opinion.. Just like who's better; Biggie or 2pac.

I would choose fans over magazine all the time, because a magazine company consist of maybe hundred give or take depending on how big it is, fans consit of millions, which is more accurate, however I do understand the Soulja statement and can understand why you would choose a magazine lol...and you're right, fans' voices are opinions, but when you think about it, at the end of the day, everything is an opinion...it's not like math where 2+2=4 is a fact:)

actually the people that shot pac were not biggies homies they were using pac and thts wht started it, personally i think they are filled with strength in different areas 2 pac = poet, and like a revolutionary hero because he had so much knowledge about everything and he influenced so many people he was so down to earth, BIG= wrote bout material things, and wasnt afraid to try something new, and he had so much love for his kids and his fans and was overall good guy no matter what his past was

damn.....ive always listened to this without paying that much attention to the lyrics...but after listening to it now, i can see how pac interpreted it........in the song biggie says "badboys behind this" in reference to "who shot ya".....and shortly after he said that, you can hear puff in the background say "east coast mothafucka!"....why would puff even say that if this song wasnt about someone from the west coast?
