Not hard to guess aces when you get reraised preflop by someone who can't hide their excitement very well. What's funny is how by saying it out loud the guy just started checking to try to convince Daniel that he didn't have aces.

McLane made a fatal error checking the turn. That was a dead giveaway that he had aces and wanted Daniel to bet. If someone tells you they think you have a certain hand and they're beat (and they mean it, which Daniel clearly did), you don't check after they say that, or you're guaranteed to get nothing else out of the hand. If McLane had bet on the turn, there might have been a small chance that Daniel would think he's now only representing aces. It's a long shot, sure, but it was possible.

Yeah, great great read. Super Duper Daniel Negreanu. Always knows what his opponents have, but still keeps making wrong decisions. He said he knew that dude had AA from the start. But he still calls with Q-T preflop, he still calls with top pair. This is not a read, just good instincts and/or lucky guess. He always does that and always imagine like he's a superstar. Too much talking. Guys like Ivey, Dwan, Antonius make way better reads I bet, just keeps it quiet and actually trusts their reads.
