  • Helicopters beat planes in EVERY way. Helicopters are funner, better looking, safer, has more uses, and can hover :D

  • iwonder how many lives have been changed by helicopters.

  • i want to do that

  • WOW HE ALMOST CRASHED AT 6;55

  • Dear Santa...

  • helicopters are cool!

    and difficult to fly

  • extremely interested in being a commercial Helicopter Pilot or even an instructor... anyone have suggestions for funding etc?

  • this instructor is a jerk off, at 6:55 the stinger was too close to the ground! Rule #1 for hovering practice is a higher than normal hover...

  • 9:25-9:30 lol Pilot was having a blast scaring the show's host. Great video, I learned a lot. Loved the autorotation part.

  • omg cool the bell 407 is amazing

  • Yeah i agree, 6 weeks for average pilots license????? Maybe if your parents are like billionaires living in Dubai and sending you to some royal academy flight school for 8 hours every single day. 6 weeks is NOT reality, but fantasy. Its possible, but highly unlikely for the average Joe.

  • @ColtDeltaElite10mm I finished all my pilots licenses including CFI in less than 9 month. So it's definitely possible

  • "Pilot's License" in "as long as 6 weeks"....WTF???!!! Average Private license (rotorcraft) takes 6 months.. CFII is about 18 months and $75k+ and the success rate is less than 1 in 10.

  • wow that autorotation trick at the end was sick, good to know its possible to do that!

  • For what it is worth, the Red Bull helicopter is an MBB Bo-105 Bolkow and it is a very responsive helicopter and is indeed capable of aerobatics due to the fact that it is one of the few helicopters in the world equipped with a rigid, or hingeless rotor system. The Bolkow is old, but it is still a delight to fly and I really hated to part with it!

I have about 1,000 hours in the Bell 407 (N407PH) and it is really something to behold! A very enjoyable beast!

  • @Classic63EType Man... it would be an honor to meet you. I have hundreds of role models like yourself, just couldn't "cut it" in helicopter flight school. I have loved helicopters since I was 8 (I'm now 31) and like I hinted in my last sentence flew R-22's back in 1998. I wish I had the money I had back then to try once more... no military for me right now, just happy being a civilian. Flown in many different models, but not 407's., just Bell 47's thus far.

  • I'd like to input a controller (video game) to control something like this... it's much simpler and your hand can access anything

  • good video. love bell 206

  • at 6:55 he almost crashed..

  • great vid for us helilovers thanks nuttcaze

  • damn, i would have reshot the auto; that landing was a bit rough!

  • That video was awesome!! When I grow up I want to do something to do with helicopters maybe an instructor

  • @jjchang310 All my best to you... I hope you are able to do just that as soon as you can. ;)

  • 6 weeks to get a heli licence? It took me longer than that just to get my driving licence!

  • @JonHColey yea it took me 10 months man i think he means if you go to the bell academy 6 hours a day everyday

  • great video

  • i love the 407, the intro was fabulous... nice video!

  • lol, I wonder how I'd fly after probably 40 total hours of various helicopters in sims, but no rudder pedals and collective. I'd love to see :D.

Does anyone know what the age limit for an introductory flight like this is?

  • LOVE Bell Textron.... 407 - 427 and specially my sweety 430 :D

  • If you search user name "myrcguides" I uploaded the entire episode, its in 5 parts but its all there

  • I wish I could do my flight school in only six weeks lol but I can only afford four hours a month lol

  • @wheeler295 i feel you man its pricey!!!

  • I saw this in HD on my lcd tv... was great.. those helies are just amazing..

  • Buddy, this was great!

  • Muy buen video!

  • soft and lovely thanks

  • that was great. thanks for sharing this really interesting vid

  • Tnx for that. Enjoyed it. Im a fixed wing pilot but would love to take a Heli introductory flight

  • Give your local school a call. They will be more than happy to oblige. You probably won't be in a 407 though :P (jealous. I wish i'd done my training in that!)

    Nice video.

  • wow that was so cool thanks for shareing it with us nuttcaze

  • lets see them go inverted!

  • search for the RedBull Helicopter, it goes inverted, kinda, it does loops/flips and rolls. Really cool.

  • yeah ive seen it. i think its just a big model. trex 7000 probably... ;)

  • hahahaha

  • @horizonflyer9 Haha that is hilarious!

  • gotta try that before I die!!

  • awesome vid mark :) cheers.. still need to get my extra parts, as I broke one of the famous O-rings with the HB FP V2..

  • alright marc lets go ill pay.

  • hell yeah, when and where, lol. Someday I really will go and take a few Heli lessons just to see how I'd do.

    Someday, Someday, haha.

  • I wonder if the first instructor had to change dipers :)

  • That instructor is one BRAVE individual!!!

  • cool...thx mark. a friend of mine had a heli lesson and he couldn't get the hand of the cyclic. the auto-rotation looked a bit bumpy, but walked away nonetheless.

I wonder how an RC heli pilot fair out in a real heli first time without any simulator training?

  • Someday I hope to find out : )

  • I watched this !
