  • A pagan feels there are many Gods, even if they pray to just the one they like, A Buddhist prays to no Gods. I am a Atheist (no gods). and I'm Buddhist.

  • monks need to talk ab FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS , EIGHT FOLD PATH , AND CYCLE OF rebirth if they r to give any understanding of buddhism to others .

why theres so little talk ab four noble truths ? how some one becomes BUDDHA .

HOW buddha hood is achieved , why it is the heighest state any man or god can reach

  • The discussion was not about Buddhism but rather why I left Christianity. The Four Noble Truths and the Eight Fold Path are the impeccable tools to teach Buddhism. They are the tools I use on a daily bases. However when someone asks a specific question I do try to answer them respectfully. Thank you for your comment.

  • God is something not adressed in Buddhism. There are Devas and Asuras who are similar to gods but they are subjected to illness, aging and death just like the us and they each represent the sins of pride and envy respectively. Bodhisattvas are godlike but they're more akin to catholic saints. They too are born, age and die and are bound in samsara, though unlike Devas and Asuras they do this willingly to help eleviate suffering.

There is no God who creates and rules the world in Buddhism.

  • I don't like raw tomatoes, but I do like tomato products.

  • turn his back on GOD ? who the god is ?

hes can do what ever he want ! u can not forciing people what to beleave so stfu bitch !

  • who is god i like to know? have you see him

  • The sad truth is that a lot of misinformed people call religions they don't understand "paganism". The fact is, and I hate to make a generalization, but it is mostly Christians that say this, mainly because early Christianity emphasized on converting Pagan Europeans... therefore, because of the use of the word "pagan" in the Bible, now the word for false religions became synonymous with "paganism".

  • the word pagan does not exist in eastern asian culture

  • @MrSparkle100 Buddhism isn't panganism

  • Why the caller would describe Buddhism as a pagan religion is beyond me. Definitely Buddhism isn't paganism. In fact, there Christians who also practice Buddhism and Buddhists who also practice Christianity. There are "Zen Christians," etc. You can read more about these things by simply doing a Google search. Lots of results will turn up.

  • I want to learn the calm this man has to fundamentalist questions. pagan isnt evil.. its just means country dweller

  • I dont see him as tturning his back on a God but going forward to true compassion which lets people find God or not find god on there own.. God is a personal issue and should stay that way.. Im agnostic pagan but also do zazen. i love it.. namaste

  • Man oh man, East Texas attitudes. I think the questioner should have informed himself a bit more on what he was asking if he's so serious about God.

Thanks for posting these videos, very interesting!
