  • il take Laurel & Hardy over any of the so called new breed of comedians and their shows 2 guys who are still loved by young and old alike great watching this so far. Making the films in different languages just goes to show the lengths to which they loved their art, can you imagine hollywood celebs doing that now? bet theres not many who would! thanks for uploading been great watching so far!

  • Actually? The boys made three feature films in 1939..Two of those films"A Chump At Oxford" and "Saps At Sea"were filmed in 1939(At Hal Roach) and released in 1940.."The Flying Deuces"was filmed in 1939(at RKO Radio) and released in 1939.

  • Its amazing that they did the movies in multiple languages . Wow .

  • I wish that I had seen the boys perform during those pa tours..I would love to them perform and then..hopefully met them and tell them how much I love them.

    Sadly,I never got that chance.

  • That first makeshift PA tour that the boys did in England in the summer of 1932.That was the first time that they realized that the public loved them. The tour was actually created by The Foreign press and MGM's Brittish pubilicity dept.

  • Actually? The forgein dialogues were written on a blackboard out of camera range. And the boys had to read their dialogues off of the blackboard, while shooting the scenes.
