  • I started noticing them about a year or so ago here in Ft. Worth, TX. I figured it was for contrast.

  • Hmmm starting @ 0:08 is looks like you're in Wichita KS on I-135.

  • @contrapezist You are probably correct. I couldn't remember exactly where it was taken, somewhere in between Witchita , Salina and Hays.

    The storm water channel was near Witchita

  • I often see the alternating black and white stripes on bridges, where the concrete road surface is too light, and would cause the white stripes to not be visible enough, especially in bright sunlight.

  • @vwestlife It makes good sense in bright sunlight on concrete roads to have these type of stripes.

  • Cultural diversity on the intserstate?

  • never seen them before!

  • @deskpaperclips Only saw them twice on a 5 mile stretch during my 9000 miles travel while storm chasing in the U.S.A. earlier this year.
