The original film came out in 1992 and the first sequel is about the characters from the first movie's daughter. I suggest you watch the first one, I personally think it's the best one. ^_^

Nothing is ever as good as the first movie of any trilogy! Take the "Aladdin" movies from Disney. The first one is the best. My husband refers to the second one -- "The Return of Jafar" as The Return of Jafart! Of course part 3 isn't that bad AND it is much better than part 2 but the original "Aladdin" is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!
