  • 1. shes beat.....2. she a cunt... 3. only beat cunts roller skate

  • If you stop to quickly you will fall like peter griffin off of family guy :D

  • use protection... you said in one video that is very important...

  • i spin real fast to stop sad i have no stopers

  • you lied you said left in the last vid.

  • It is wrong technique. All these is only applicable at low speed. If you go 20Km/h and higher the only way to stop is like on downhill skies: First of all your body must be symmetrical otherwise you would fall. So you place your boots a little bit wider then your shoulders and aim them a little bit inside and then you start to work as spring, you move your weight a little bit down to the point when your start feeling your wheels blocked ...

  • @mathsru (continue) at that point you have to release pressure on your boots and move your weight a little bit up, so it is like car ABS, your wheels should never be blocked. Any form of sliding on roller-skates is unacceptable. So that way of breaking is equivalent to slides she shows but combined with non-stop wheels rotation. Of course you cannot stop immediately, but it is really good way especially when you roll downhill and lose control of your speed.

  • @mathsru thanks

  • Thanks A lot

  • thanksss!! soo much now i knowhow to stop!!! xD

  • OH THATS WHAT THE STOPPERS R USED FOR... I wondered why I kept falling on my face XP

  • thanks! thats alot of help!

  • What about skidding, I miss skidding. Lean inwards at a sharp angle and use your weight against the angle to stop. It takes alot of practice, but it's fun, and loud.

  • i dont know if i have a stopper or not..

  • LOL. I stopped like that, and I was fine, so shut up. -.-

  • I'm sorry i ddint mean to be so mean ): but yes i do have quadss..

  • fucking hard. my stopper is gay

  • This is dumb. I sound like I'm being rude, but I do roller derby, and that's the easiest way to break an ankle. I do plow stops which is were you spread your legs apart, and push on the inner wheels. Or a tee stop with the Side. Check my videos to see.

  • i am always falling doing the t stop any other way to do a t stop ????

  • Can you do one for inline skates? D:

  • I almost had a heartattack by watching this video.. xD imagine how i'll be on wheels. PEOPLE WERE NOT MEANT TO ROLLERSKATE. xD

  • My dad was in starlight express and he told me a much better way to stop no a fence

  • go to rollergirl.ca if any of you would like to order rollerskates....so helpful and awesome skates!!!! these vids helped me alot. I am really enjoying getting back into it :)

  • She looks really uncomfortable

  • Yur dumb NOT everybody has a toe stopper dummy!

  • @xoxoepicrawrxD you probley dont have quads :L

  • great video thanks so much for the upload, i just started skating again after almost 14 years and getting back into it, im a little shaky, your videos are excellent help and made all the difference for me. thank so much ^_^

  • thankyou :) my girlfriend will no longer be crashing into walls and hedges :)

  • Doing t-stops will actually wear down your wheels. It is a handy stop to know, but it shouldn't be frequently used. Doing stopping with your toe stop will wear it down, but toe stops are MUCH cheaper than wheels. Honestly if you are a beginner I recommend doing a plow stop :)

  • Ihazdrumkit:

    Finnaly no more wall crashing

  • Ihazdrumkit: ikr finnaly

  • thank the lord, i can stop finding walls to crash into to stop.

  • Thank you so much! That was really helpful, I can finally stop with my roller skates!

  • Thankyou so so so much! Now finally i can stop running over oaps

  • OhhmygosshH!!! thank you!!! now i wont be scared to slow downn and have the fear of falling!! now i can go to the rink wednesday and skate fast lol

  • She is so reading off a poster or something.

  • @Puggy9874 hhmm.. maybe she is.. maybe shes not. lol but if she is who cares! she just teaching uss somethingg:D happy face:)

  • my favourite way is to grab onto a tree

  • @XxsolorockstarxX Your comment cracked me up... lol. I've had those moments!

  • I fall, crash, or ram to stop

  • but how would i stop quickly if sombody got infront of me and i was going fast?thumbs up if you agree how

  • I never really drag my stopper, I kinda wedge on the floor. I dont know if Im explaining that well

  • @Nichiiro you are, i know what you mean. thats what i do with my blades, for quads i just drag on my plug

  • Gene Kelly brought me here :))))

  • I WANTED TO LEARN SKATING, AND YOU HELP ME THANKS!!!!

  • omg my best friend wants me to go skating with him so i've been looking for a whole ton of videos on how to skate so i don't fall cuz i really like him

  • woowwwwwww all these years i wonder how to stop while skating..lol. well, havent skate in years but its good to know now !

  • EVERYONE LISTEN UP~~ NEVER DRAG YOUR STOPPER BEHIND YOU, IT KILLS IT SOO QUICKLY. AND DONT DO THE KEY STOP EITHER, TAP THE GROUND WITH YOUR WHEEL SO YOU SLOW DOWN, AND IF YOU CAN GO BACKWARDS STOP LIKE THAT, DRAG STOPPER BACKWARDS :D

  • @Brentypooz

Its a 'T-stop' and it works just fine. Also, stoppers are made to be used up, so dragging it behind you is a fine way to stop when you are just starting to skate. Everyone has to start somewhere.

  • @Brentypooz yeah my stoppers non existent now :) and you can turn but if im going fast i normally land on my ass

  • i ate shit and broke my penis because of this lady!!!

  • my skates r diffrent cuz the wheels are in a line so thats wat im looking for

  • @MegaPurplelight you should look for a roller BLADING video. (:

  • @OMGitsICELAND sure thx :P

  • @MegaPurplelight That means you have "inline skates." These videos are made 4 "quad skates."

  • uhm stopping on your toe stops will wear them down wayyyyy to much you should either do the t stop or power slide they dont ruin your toe stops... you should use your toe stops take off or stop only when going backward and also if you tilt your foot to far forward it ruins the toe of your skate..... thank you

  • It's so hard to buy roller skates these days . =(

  • I CAN"T DO THE T STOP!!!

  • I want roller skates D: I've always wanted them but dun know where I can buy em

  • Great series. Make more! Teach us how to do stunts!

  • oh thats why i wondered why the big circle thing on front of the shoe was there LOL!!

  • I love roller skatting great vid though very helpfull cant wait to get new ones soon!

  • Looks more like a 'V' or an 'L'.

  • Thanks, very helpful! : )

  • 1:32 if u listen it's quite funny how she says 'In the shape of a t'

  • teach them how to hockey stop expertvillage

  • awesome :)

  • exelent tutorial pay those idiots no mind

  • honey mama-

Anyone in derby clearly knows how to stop and shouldn't be watching youtube directional videos.

And you can totally use your toe stops in derby to slow down, we do it all the time as long as you aren't trying to immediately stop.

But I do absolutely agree about t-stops- you drag the outside wheels, not the inside. THAT is how you snap an ankle while stopping.

  • my skate is not the same so how can we stop?

  • Good lesson!

  • u suck

  • @activisonsucks

at the roller rinks near wherere I live the Quad skaters make up about 70 % of the local skaters! and In the City, the shops sell 3 times as many Quads as they do inlines

  • Haha i cant stop by using the brakes, skates are too heavy for me to do that. Soo I stop by skating near a wall and grabbing onto it :D

  • i use my stopper and drag it on the floor to slow down then i use the side of my foot to stop

  • by the way, this is TERRIBLE advice for ROLLER DERBY. DO NOT drag your toe-stop in order to slow or stop while skating derby, or you're begging for a broken ankle. and when using a t-stop, you should be dragging more weight on the outside wheels, not the inside wheels (as she says in the video).

  • how do you stop NOT using the brake.

  • @ivanmaster9 to stop not using the brakes ur gonna want 2 hockey stop your wheels will skid - or - easier t-stop keep ur left foot going straight and take ur right foot and turn it sideways and drag it behind ur left foot making a T

  • This is so great!

Thanks a lot for all those tips! Hope I can do them too :)

  • that is not how you t stop your not suposed to use your dominit leg to t stop

  • Hehe. She talks like a robot. In a good way.

  • Great tips thanks

  • Gosh! You people are so fricking critical!! Where do you all get off, she made a nice instructive video.

  • im going too freys skating rink 2morro and ur videos helped me alot thanks :D

  • But what if you're flying down a hill?

The dinky stopper sure didn't save me T___T

  • you didnt apply enuf pressure

  • I have a idea before falling from hill .....make sure you have wings.

  • fail

  • Man, learn how to spell before calling someone stupid.

  • @Rockharpered yeahhhhhhhhhh

  • mmm not sure about her teachings.. though i startet skating again after a 20 year break,, think i can whoop her behind with my stops lol

  • Always be wary about people telling you which leg is your strong one from asking you which hand is your strong one. This depend of the person. An alternative is for the skater to try and stay on 1 leg whilst rolling and see which leg feels easier to stay on. if you can stay on the left leg for longer then do the T-stop dragging your right leg. Ultimatly I recommend you learn the T-stop on both sides.

  • MILF!

Crude, but so true in this case :-D

  • yehh i've fall manytimes this helps

  • ROLLERBLADERS FTW!!

  • You can often fall when stopping too fast. Scarry :)

  • wow...

  • Whoa....it's true...I'm left handed and I use my left foot to do the T-stop...

  • its not true. i'm left handed, but i use my right foor to T-stop. unless im weird. lolz

  • Uhhh...maybe it's not after all...

  • can u shuffle with those hahahaha

  • tru dat foo

  • thanks

  • "the optimum method of stopping" - sure lady - and u can replace my wheels when they wear through from stopping - either use the brake - funnily enough thats what its there for DUH! - or learn to power slide - and yes you WILL get hurt - but hey no pain no gain - SKATE OR DIE!

  • lol she says "your dominant leg is whatever hand you use" she's obviously not very good at explaining things

  • No no, she's right. When you skate, surf or so on, you have a "dominant leg" which mean you master that side. And always (or almost always) it's the same side where your dominant hand is.

  • no, no i know that about dominant leg and hand (you even have a dominant eye[ it's would be the one you shot with, with a gun]) it's just the way she explains it is terrible

  • I usually just do something like a drop and roll, I never understood how to use the breaks

  • I teach how to roller too... you just watch and try what I do ... bus your ass. get up and try it again.. in time, about 5 months , you'll be just like me. .. check it out....

  • better not to drag the toe stop and with t-stop I teach you put all 4 wheels, not just 2, otherwise you are going to wear out the edges of your wheels

  • I don't know why, but I prefer taking the stoppers off in the skating rink. It's easier for me to just do a powerslide...my stoppers get in the way of manuals.

I never use my quads outside though, so I wouldn't know how well I could stop with a powerslide outdoors.

  • i always spin or fall

i cant do it, im a failure xD

  • LOL< SHE seems Nervous...and The stopping Method looks more like an "L" then a "T" ...LOl

  • Is there a faster way to stop, or should I just applying more pressure with the T-Stop. With the other stop I think I apply to much pressure, so I almost fall most of the time.

  • yes their is.

the other way is to turn to backwards and go onto both stoppers.

  • snowplow is waaaay better and much more effective during play

  • hm...dominent feet. My chior teacher was talking about that today as she was teaching us our routine for show chior try-outs. She told us that your dominent side is usually determined by how you learned first (ex, tap dancers learn right foot first, all us band nerds learned to go left foot first)

  • STOP? WHO WANTS TO STOP?

  • No, I'd rather fall HARD.

  • remembered the first time i skated lol i didnt know how to stop

  • ok what if u took or take ur freaking stopper off

  • always with the robot....

    tanks for the lesson ..

  • nice ATL BaBY

  • i tried but it make me spin a bit
