  • why isn't there any people of color here? weird

  • @amkali24 Cause it is Ashville, and also some people are scared off of it.

  • @Mackenziecanvideo Because it's Asheville??? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?? explain yourself please...

  • @Mackenziecanvideo Well, I doubt you've ever been to Asheville, then. Besides the fact that you don't know how to spell it, you obviously don't know what a great community that city has. And it's a very liberal place. Especially for a city in the South. I may not live there anymore, but that place will always be Home for me.

  • I've been to the Old Farmer's Ball several times, I've always had a great time!

  • i am somewhere in the crowd. great combination with bob calling and crowfood playing.

  • It helps that the dance is held on a college campus ...

  • So many young people at this dance; I wish the dances I go to had such a low average age

  • I really miss Contra at The Old Farmer's Ball! It's been almost 20 years since I was an avid dancer there (in the old building). I don't see many of the folks that were there then, but it's nice to see that it still going strong! This really brings back memories and the urge to get movin' again! Thanks for sharing! Long live Contra!

  • The first of the 3 dance sequences is "Heritage Reel" by Tony Parkes.

  • (The second dance sequence is "Centrifugal Hey" by Gene Hubert; the third is "Forgotten Treasure" by Beth Parkes.)

  • This is a nice contra dance video. At first it is a bit confusing to follow, but I definitely feel the groove after watching a bit. Yes, this looks like fun!
