I actually find it funny that most people consider this to be "grunge" and something new in the 90's. Look around in the 80's and you will see tons of bands doing this exact same type of music.. All genres of music were represented in full force throughout the 80's. I will admit that music for the last 10-15 years has mostly sucked, but if you look to the local level you can find some great new bands. Bought this album when it came out (still love it)...never bought a Nirvana album..never will

the problem with silverchair now is, they grew up. 99% of band that started young and have been together for along time have done the same, such as offspring, grinspoon, greenday, pearl jam,foo fighters, korn, metallica (but they have seen the light and changed back). you cant be 16 and angry forever. i think if nirvana was still around they wouldnt sound anything like we remember. my 2 cents
