Marvelous! The late 50's and through the 60's seems to have been kind of a golden time for young German musicians! My friend sent me a YT awhile back of two young German men singing a neat early 60's teenager song and he commented on how nicely they were dressed and presented themselves compared to the general level of slovenliness a decade later, but I can't think of their name. Conny is just wonderful, even if she does spell if with a "y"!
@VictrolaJazz oh they were Golden Times Eddie... so well put. There were so many artists overseas, we were oblivious to in North America... I was more fortunate to grow up with a diverse smattering of musical genres... total culture shock, completely different world, back then and even today. Conny is AWESOME. She is a 'Cornelia' but I guess Conny sounds a lot hotter and it was changed when she was still a child
@75capriceconvertible Well frankly I like Cornelia--I guess because one of my friends married a girl named Cornelia about that time--and he's still married to her 45 years later! Conny's generation was the first to grow up not tainted by the horrors of WWII plus had a good economy and everything looking very bright.
@VictrolaJazz congratulations to Cornelia and her spouse after so many years! This is great to hear. Yes Conny (Froboess) did grow up in a more innocent time, she is stellar in her movies as well as her songs. And the times were very happy and with a positive outlook; everything upbeat, fun, musical!!
@maynardcat Ricky Stone = pseudonym; a friend of mine in Germany and he has a terrific voice doesn't he! The song in beginning = Cornelia Froboess... by now you've heard the whole song, it's dreamy :-)
I like the new sound

Very nice singer, and one I had not heard of before. I really liked the song played in part at the beginning.
