Looking back on this season (12 years ago), Hatch had the philosophy in the 1st 2 minutes of this video.

He read the rules. Some of them were going to be there for 35 DAYS or more. They were mostly thinking one night and then we'll figure out tomorrow...tomorrow.

If I had been on Hatch's team he and I would have sat in that tree all night waiting for everybody to get on the same page.

LOL they call that survivor ?? with all those supplies ! you gotta be kidding me. In Expeditie robinson they had a pound of flour , a pound of rice, an ask , an big knife, that's it. The rest of the food they had to hunt of fish or by exploring the island.

they kind of needed to spoil the people in series one though in my opinion. if they just dropped them off with no toys, tools or supplies, i doubt many people would have been as desperate to apply for season 2 as there where. better to ease people in to the chaos, rather than throw them in at the deep end and watch as they drown.

It's funny to see how much supplies they had in this first season... (even a guitar!) Kinda easy... now it became much tougher!
