:( reminds me of my fave rat Pickle who was so friendly and cute and clever :( miss them all. So cute. I make that little noise too to let them know when i've got treats and they all climb out their cage(which is never shut) rats just kick ass!
Too bad these little guys are so brutal to each other--I had been breeding rats and had one of these available. I was gonna keep him when they got old enough. The siblings became cannibals...he was among the unfortunate probably because he was tame. :(
I'm glad at least someone else got one as a pet. Such a pretty coat.
It was kind of like discriminatory training, doing it all in steps. First step was to just open any finger to get the treat, then he had to pick the middle finger to get the treat =P Soon enough he learnt how to distinguish the middle finger from the others! =P
Possum is such a cute name! Weird how I had a dream about them recently..

You just make him figure out how to open your fingers out with the food in your palm. then you limit it down gradually to the one finger.
