It's a real pity this game never saw the light of day. "tssf" could you lend us some insight into why this project was scrapped?

I just barely stumbled onto a trailer for the game and then this video, and I can honestly say that I've never quite seen anything like it. IMO it looked to be a flawless recreation of an original rpg.

Square-Enix issued a Cease and Desist letter to them, which effectively ended the project.

Actually check out tssf . gamemusic . ca/Remakes/ChronoStuff/CR and you will find a "Soundtrack" version of this song (slightly longer than the trailer itself)

It's got reverb in it though so, it's not exactly dry..but I'm hoping it still sounds as good. :) Thank you for your comments.

tssf... would you happen to be the person responcible for the muisc of Chrono Resurrection? If so, I just want to personally thank you for what you tried to do for the gaming community. I would love to thank each and every one of the guys on the CTR team. Since the C&D letter, I've lost alot of respect for Square.

I am the person responsible for Chrono Resurrection`s music, yes. The cease and desist was expected to be honest..but it`s funny. Square Enix seems to have the most amount of hits on our site.

I come from a RPG Making community. We use rather simplistic software produced by Agetec. It doesn't hold a candle to the calibur of the CR project... Even still, we do know at least a bit, of what kind of blood, sweat, and tears go into this kind of work. Anyway, I'm glad I was actually able to get a hold of one of you guys. Thanks for the reply.

No problem, sorry it took so long. This was definitely a project for the fans, by the fans. It was devoted to make the best kind of tribute game we could make. That`s why we spared no effort in creating it.

At least a 3D movie went out to show what it could look like if it ever happened. Whether Square Enix wants to actually do something with the Chrono license is up to them. Hopefully they will at least put it up on Virtual Console.

Agreed. Though, I guess what bothers me is that while it is thier license and they can do what that want... it's apparent they aren't going to do a thing with it. Even the original creators of CT came together, but made Blue Dragon for Microsoft. Even Chrono Break has been completely canceled. So with them not doing anything with the license, and no financial consiquence... it's really a shame that they pulled the plug. C'est la vie?

They're gigasamples. You have to pay for them if you want to find or use anything decent. Gigastudio is a very useful program in the regard of wanting to make your synthetic music sound realistic. You usually get quality for what you pay for.

wow, how long did that take to make? are there any tutorials on the net im trying to learn to use cool edit myself

The music itself was created with Cakewalk and Gigastudio themselves. Recorded in parts, I used Cool Edit Pro / Adobe Audition (the same programs) to mix everything together with special effects applied afterward. I'm sure you can find some tutorials with Google. Everything I did was self-taught, personally.
