I'm not from New York but even I know Central Park at night is freaking dangerous..
Oh and all those studies about a person being stimulated because of their urban environment and scoring better on a test because their brain is already active.
This is just an exercise in keeping academics off the streets...someone has to find a reason to give them money for their BS studies.
Makes sense to me. I enjoy walking on trails or in calm areas, and find it relaxing. I wouldn't enjoy a walk around the city block as much though, or perhaps not at all if it was noisy and busy as shown here.
Well what if you take a stroll through the park or anywhere,my point being that i can be good to get out of the stess zones of the city into the wild, however it has nothing to do with "having the antennas up" because you need to be vigil wherever you are in the world.Someplaces less vigil

Wrong conclusion.
The mind was rested due to the "natural" environment.. Thuis better results
Much the same as a person who is well rested from bed rest has better results.
It stands to reason...the more tired you are the worse your results.
I don't know why a study was required to get incorrect results...waste of time and money.

Huh you need to have"your antennas up" when in the wild,or in the forest for instance. What if there are dangerous animals out there?

Ups, nothing catches people's attention automatically. Interest is voluntary and can be chosen.

I walked about 3 miles in Rovaniemi before my uni entrance exam. It was the fifth year and 4th out of 5th tests in a week around Finland. I passed.

now that we have conquered nature it's no threat, instead it's the taxis trying to prey on us.

It may seem like common sense to most people but many times what is considered common sense is wrong. That is why they do studies like this.
