This group of talented young ladies continues to push the envelope!!!! They are the most entertaining dance line of ANY HBCU to watch both the current and alumni...Goes to show that the J-Settes style never dies..
It must have been the camera angle or something, cause this routine was fiyah and one to remember. This squad has redeemed itself from a long down time. I say that this style is what made me love the jsettes a loooong time ago. I haven't liked them this much since 2000. It was like after Afrachanna and Aquita left, the squad had some down time, but Shanketta is doing her thing by getting their reign as the best back. i must say the best squad of 09 is the Settes. They still have room to grow.
I've been to a lot of games. I've seen a lot of videos. I've seen timing issues with this squad. I've seen some mistakes from this squad. What I haven't seen is a squad that tried to please a crowd like this one has.

Maybe if they kept doing the same routines over & over again (like previous squads), they would get'em polished. Hell, I would rather see a minor-flawed, new routine than one perfect routine that I've seen before. These girls put forth a major effort to please all of us who like to see them perform. Some of you will probably get upset with what I'm about to say, but it's my opinion. I haven't missed a JSU football since 1998, and this performance to "Swoop" is probably the J-Settes best performance in the last 10 years...... I was like WOW afterwards......EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE
I agree somewhat. Its has had the most energy and up tempo..but I wouldn't say in the last ten years...99 was a killer year, and 2000 swoop killed it also....Go to work, and 7 day weekend....I would say within the last 5 or 6 it was the best...but not 10. its a hot performance tho...loved it...I also like the first knights by knights she did..but the uniform they wore for swoop is my favorite jsette leotard...love the blue fringe on the white.

you people kill me, stop living in the past, this was a great performance, wit a minor error here and there, if they did this dance a many times as they did the first "Swoop" it would be damn perfect as well(not downing the first Swoop). Some of y'all come on here commenting on these videos like your opinion matters, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but dont knock every person that feels differently from you. this is not directed directly to anyone, just a general statement
I agree jo662...But, understand that ones past will determine the direction of their future...I have enjoyed all the randisions of the "Swoop" routines. But there are many that feel that the routines are more cut and paste video now and not oringinal comps, for which the style is known and noted for... I enjoy seeing the timeline of differences... I just look forward to seeing more devotion and comment to the performance and not the name...And for the recored, this is a general statement...
not sur ehow I feel about this routine. almost 10 years after the original lol. The original to me is the best after I saw this version up close. one of them made a mistake, u can't see it here. it wasn't big but after this long u would think their routines would be perfect with no timing issues. But for mostly crabs the captain and ms Worthy have done a good job and brought back that Jsette Swag
Add 5 years to those 10 years for the original routine (1995) chicagomarchingbands...These ladies have great energy...I am not sure about a swag being "brought back"...But, a new one is sure in effect...

HOT ROUTINE!
That routine was harder than the 1st swoop. I give them girls they props. The crowd loved it. The alumni loved it and the crowd went up for it.
