No way this is Daigo. A way too scrubby for that. When Daigo is playing, he is constantly setting his opponent up for something unexpected. This Ryu, on the other hand, is a pattern player and his whole game is based on countering and punishing the moves of his opponent. That kind of safe playing cuts his damage potential and makes him unable to do anything against an opponent with a consistent, offensive strategy. I think he gave up on third round when he was about to win.

The way some people view tiers makes me laugh. The tiers are based on in-person lag free match ups. Hakan is a much better character online because he hardly loses anything from lag at all because he is a poke and grab character. Couple that with the fact a lot of people don't know his game and he can be a beast in the right hands.

As well as all the other comments about Daigo being human, not a demigod, let's not forget, Daigo probably doesn't have a whole lot of experience against high-end Hakan players, and the match was still very, very close. It's just nice to see a match that doesn't have Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Sagat, Gief, Bison, Balrog,Guile, Cammy, or Fei Long in it. There ARE other characters to play.
