dont worry about expensive makeup! its more the technique and color choice than the brand or price. everynow and again its nice to have something by MAC but its not totally necessary.

this girl uses like CG and loreal and wet n wild, she also uses mac but still...u can use anything thats pretty and up to date!

Matte means that there are no light-reflecting pigments in the product, where as if a product stated sheer, it does contain light reflecting pigments. :)

matte means its a flat color with NO shine whatsoever, satin and sheer always has shimmers and light reflecting undertones...you always want to have some matte finishes in your collection, if you want a really nice highlighter that has no shimmer blanc type from mac is awesome!

@rachelyjs you can apply it only about halfway on your upper lid. don't apply it towards the inside. that helps make your eyes look bigger =)

My eyes would water constantly because my allergies were acting up, but I started using L'Oreal Le Kohl in Carbon Black. It went on easily, but it keeps smudging. I haven't tried setting it with dry shadow yet, though.

when you dont have folds, you see this often in almond shaped eyes, (asian), it is due to having more fat in that area, those who dont have monolids you will see you can like stretch out your eye lid skin, you see it has many creases and folds, (multi lid), due to less/lack of fat storage in that area
