@wideopenthrottle666 fully built 4.3l in 07 at nopi it ran 296.3 on the rear tires. custom tune by me and all the other goodies.as far as the 2 wire thing its the wires from the speed sensor ot the trans there a twisted pair (purple and green) but you lhave to intercept one at a certain spot and i dont remember whitch one or were.on wire is the signal and the other is the return. i think it was the return befor the vats module that is attached to the pc. or it was a wire out of the vats

I just wrecked my '98 S10. Spooky thing that happened. Midnight. My buddy and I get followed by a newer Chevy truck. This guy was within feet of hitting my bumper, and since I was going over 90, one tap would've put me into a tree. I topped my truck out probably two dozen times. I blew through an intersection right before a semi drove through and he had to slow down. I tried to take a left, and I would've made it if it wasn't a 30 degree turn. Went airborne. Guy kept on going. I'll find him...

And people think old cars aren't quick. Hell if anything, SOME newer cars are slower than their predecessors. Nowadays they're so damn heavy, and downsizing the engines.

Damn your truck got up to speed fast for a 2.2L. I got an 2000 s10 but like everyone else says mine tops out at 95mph because of the governor.

@MoparMadness1968 Thanks but its no 2.2 ive never or would ever own a 4 banger american motor.  that truck had a well built 4.3l in it.

what did you do to get your governor removed? Ive tired to get my limiter removed but , every where i go in this ass backwards city i live in claims that it cant be done on an s10. I plan to turbocharge my M5 2.2L but modding anything else is pointless if i cant go faster than 94mph. D:

@mesaboogieshredder all you need is a programmer and it will move the limiter as long as your truck is a 96 or newer. if its older then you will need to install a chip in the pcm. the people in your town are really dumn then and i would not take any vehicle to them for service or repair.

@mesaboogieshredder Look for an s-10 fourm, somewhere i read that theres 2 tranny wires ( manual only ) hook a toggle switch up to 1 of em and flick it to tripp the govener

Sounds like a V6, but I believe the V6 only revs to about 5k or so Rpm.{mine does} is this a 2.2?

@saracha it has nos but not on that run. i cant use nos untill 3 gear or it blowes the tires off. i havent been able to get a good vid of it on nos because it is a hand full trying to drive it with it on. the curent motor puts out 296.3 wheel hp and 342.1 torque on a mustang dyno at a nopi event in charlet nc.and i have a 150 shot after that but i was not able to dyno it with nos (some safty thing because my bottle did not have the trun down tube on it they would not let me)
