  • I own the album!! Bought it 2nd hand and treasure it! Young folk don't know nothing 'bout this!

  • how fucking good?

  • GENIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I use this song every year on New Year's Eve to ring in the New Year.

  • @truth1disciple I ask the same questions. I remember listening to this song and all of Billy Paul's songs as my father used to play them in his basement hideaway as he smoked his weed and drank with friends or sometimes by himself. When I hear these songs I feel his presence.

  • There is an unseen spiritual battle that is in full force right now people. Look at the times, men killing their families and themselves, suicide, sexual immorality and others vices are rampant, drug use (legal and illegal) is inundating our country, sexual exploitation of children, child abuse, the youth of our day have no respect for authority, parents, or themselves, the church and its church leaders are more concerned with prosperity and covetousness, etc. Who are what is behind this?

  • I'll take Lucifer on; right now! I do not fear darkness. We just saw his crowd in government.

  • Great song that takes me back to some great days.

  • 2:50 Billy... you can sing now

  • This a trill song right here.

  • the best song ever, i have this vinyl ,man so peaceful

  • Wow, between 1970-1975 there were so many GREAT GHETTO albums. SAM DEES, JAMES BROWN, MARVIN GAYE, this one, all of them were sending a message to the world of how America was treating the children of slaves in late 20 century, and what life was like for people living in the urban jungle. On the BRIGHT SIDE, WE WOULD NEVER OF GOT SO MUCH GOLDEN,MAGICAL MUSIC, if folks were not pushed right to the edge., so the question is, why do we need to push folks so far, to produce the greatest music ?

  • U think u can send me diz song? to my email?:D please

  • omg i relaxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh yeah great music!i love black music

  • @MrGuilhermectbaa thanks cause black music is the shit lol we created every gerne of music except classical fact

  • @quiso231 When you state that something is a fact please make sure that it really is. FACT drum/bass/rythm is found in almost every aboriginal culture on Earth.

Are you going to tell me that Mariachi music was created by Black people?

Are you going to tell me that Celtic music was created b black people?

Are you going to tell me that Tibetan Chant music was created by Black people?

  • @nilknarf420 actually it does. It all originates for the original people. The addiitions may be unique to each culture, but it all derives from the original peoples of the earth.

  • @nilknarf420 ITS VERY SIMPLE TO ALL OF UR QUESTIONS ( HELLLL YES) ALL OF IT AREGINATED FROM THE BLACK MAN FOOL,CHECK UR TRUE HISTORY,AND NOT HIS-----STORY DUM DUM.....

  • @quiso231 Are you going to tell me that Native drum circle/chant music was created by Black people?

Are you going to tell me that Mandolin music from Italy was created by black people?

Are you going to tell me that the musical instruments found in China from 7000 years ago was created by black people?

Are you going to tell me that the music the ancient Greeks made was created by black people?

Or did you mean that Rock music and most American music came out of the minds of black americans

  • @nilknarf420 ITS VERY SIMPLE TO ALL OF UR QUESTIONS ( HELLLL YES) ALL OF IT AREGINATED FROM THE BLACK MAN FOOL,CHECK UR TRUE HISTORY,AND NOT HIS-----STORY DUM DUM.....

  • @quiso231 If you meant most American music from the 19th century onwards I would have to agree with you, however your blanket statements shows your ignorance.

  • @nilknarf420 you know exactly what he meant. he meant, correctly, that all forms of music popular today except classical are derivative of blues. all the "genres" you mentioned are irrelevant.

  • @KicksAndSnaresUK I cant argue that. almost all good music came from the Blues.

  • Oh dam I didn't realize ludacris sampled this!

  • @qubicles which song?

  • @adonb1989 "war with god" on his release therapy album

  • Magica grabacion de este genial cantante acompañado de grandes musicos.En esta cancion el acompañamiento musical realza la cancion y la acaba de redondear.Otro de los grandes olvidados en España o mejor dicho desconocidos.

  • jehova just to mention a few some people even call him jesus tooo...thats my part but did you hewar when he said one day the people of the world will know yahweh name.....power in that name...yahweh is god..

  • dilla

  • Espectacular

  • Epic intro.

  • The beginning of the song makes it sound epic....the anticipation...great song for an epic war. LOVE, PEACE AND ETERNAL LIFE; THAT'S WHAT I WANT TOO!

  • Wonderful instrumental, been looking for years

  • soapbox- cyne... so this is where they got the sample from

  • I used to light up a big fat joint before listening to this one!!!!!

It was a very deep song way back when, and it still is!!! How very apt for today!!!

  • Sampled by Ludacris for War of the Gods. Hot ass sample

  • Experimental Sampled Beat - ENYO KIM search that it is by far the most respectful and dope hip hop beat with a sample of this lol it's awsome :P

  • One Be Lo-Follow My Lead

  • the beginning sirens was used for Raekwon's 10 Bricks

  • ludacris war with god sample ne bobody notice

  • the time has come!

  • love it

  • This song is a masterpiece. Rarely here it; but one of his best. I believe he plays the piano in this also.

  • Even cried over Michael Jackson today. I do believe in God!

  • This may seem strange; but his lyrics are exactly what we live now.

  • This is probably one of my favorites by Billy. The lyrics are very interesting with Lucifer running amok. And that is right here in the U.S.

  • The art cover of War Of The Gods is unbeatable.

  • War Of The Gods is a perfect, 10/10 album. The PIR quadraphonic vinyl of this is extremely well recorded, the synths kicks ass. Pure voyage.

  • WOW what a song. Just sampled this today. How original of me eh? Think my sample is less recognizable as a sample of this song but is the best sample I've heard of this tune. Big up me. Even better than when Premo did it. haha

  • sampled it already, beaten u by 6 months...

  • Billy Paul (born Paul Williams, December 1, 1934, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States) is a Grammy Award winning American soul singer, most known for his 1972 number-one single, "Me and Mrs. Jones". He was usually identified by his distinguishably raspy vocal

  • Best sampling of this song is War With God

by Ludacris. Its worth a listen.

  • exile flips this crazy, he really is my favorite producer right now

EXILE Feat Slum Village - Time Has Come

  • MUSIC THIS IS WHAT IT IS RIGHT HERE

  • sampled byy

    one be lo

    "its time to act now"

    amazing sound

  • before my time

  • where can I find this one be lo track ?

  • if ppl still don't believe that music as a whole is dying, need to listen to artist like this.

  • @odgreez2004 Music is not dying its just evolving to another level, people forget that we are in the future. These are the times when the 70s & 80s babys have kids, teenagers & twenty somethings that are now creating music that like our parents looked down on and judged. We live in a time where a 23 year old is a Billionaire (Facebook creator) but yeah its nothing like sipping on the Crown Royal on ice & listening to this now classic type of music

  • @odgreez2004 Of course if you only listen to whatever radio has to offer it may seem that it is, it's not that I do not like this artist, I actuallylove him. But I only had to come here and say that music is very much alive, only society is blinded by pop music industry, i'm telling you there are a lot of artists with new grooves, new sounds. My opinion may not be yours, but I believe we may have a rebirth here (I can say at least from here Qc, Canada!)

  • @maxime19bouvrette couldnt agree more

  • @odgreez2004

Ain't no comparison between music then and now. Thing is, what is being played today, don't last.

But good music, like this lasts FOREVEEEER.

  • inspirational

  • que sonido tan arrecho.. Billy Paul el mejor ..

  • Billy Paul, Barry White, Curtis Mayfield, los mejores..

    Leyends!

  • Wow, this song this powerful. i see why luda sampled it

  • this song is life changing, it changed my life

  • great song
