I have happened too see them live as well ... and I'm also a female screamer in my band. Angela does not inhale! In order too get the power and sound she has you have too exhale, and use your diaphragm., as she demonstrated on the DVD The Zen of Screaming. Any metal screamer can tell right away by sound and power if someone is inhale screaming or not. Its fine too not like a band but its fucking stupid too come on youtube and watch a band you hate just too start shit!

Although I enjoy Angela's grunt, I prefer by far the guitarwork of the Amott brothers. I love the musical direction their songs take. It's not just "br00tal" or "f***** fast", it's beautiful. The solo ripped at 3:16 in this song is magnificient IMO.

Angela's performance as a vocalist might have put Arch Enemy on the map of the metal bands that "distinguish themselves from so many others", but I think the musical proficiency of the guitarists was what maintained the band on that same map.

I saw AE open for Cradle Of Filth in that very venue (The Masquerade in Atlanta) in 2004. I wasn't into them AT THE TIME...but they are impossible to ignore, so good is their live set.
