Wow... that horse looks really ticked off. He's very responsive, but not a happy worker. FWIW, it really shouldn't matter how many times he's been moved around like that, he shouldn't be demonstrating that kind of attitude. I wonder what happened to him to make him so annoyed.
@geekgirl70 some horses are just like that. One of the mares I ride, Exception, acts all p*ssy from the moment you get her out of the pasture up until you get in the saddle. Only once you are in the saddle do her ears go forward. From what I've observed the horse is probably thinking "Great this person took me away from my friends and food, is making me stand here/do work, and I can't do what I want. Fine I'll do what you want but that doesn't mean I'm gonna like it."
Sure the horse might have done this things many times and knows how to do it but this is only a trainings movie to show exactly how to do it and for this i think it's good when the horse knows it otherwise it would be harder to see the single steps.
and its not suprising considering he's probly been demonstrating the same simple lessons over and over again so dumb people who think horses are like small dogs can realize that they are NOT.... hes probly much happier when doing real work or training.
ive been a cowboy for years, and man im telling you this guy is good!

I think hi could have used a horse who did't respond to it and he fixed the problem.

@tantejohan I agree, they should've used a horse who hadn't learned to respond to the cues yet
I wish this trainer would give this horse a little more respect (even though this is just a demonstration).. the horse gives the him the 'eye' at 0:52

it's normal that even "beta-horses" sometimes flat their ears
