hey! My daughter had the same viral infection with a red rash all over her chest. She still have a very few of patches left. Her doctor said that it may takes more weeks for the rash to go. But the viral infection itself is gone. Its a month now since the patches appeared.
My daughter had one like that too over the summer time, it took about 5 weeks to go away. Her's was very visible though since it was during the summer and she stayed hot, it was always prominent. His though I suppose since it's cold, u can almost never see his. It's almost gone looking though. It's been 4 weeks & ur daughter still has it?
Yes. She had her six month check up yesterday. I ask her doc, and he said as long as the patches are disappearing, its okay. I did notice that when she is hot it is more seen. Oh, by the way. Do you think feeding your son in a more upright positon would help some of the fluid from backing up in his ears. My doctor told me that milk can drain to the ears and cause some of the congestion if the baby is being fed to flat. Just a tip, because I can understand about the worries you are facing.
We have hear yes & no when it comes to breast fed babies being fed while laying down. No1 seems to have a for sure answer...So it can't hurt to feed upright which is now what we are doing.
Glad I'm not the only one.... I know chances are pretty high that if we can make it to 1 year he won't need them, and even more so for him, if we can just get through this winter then we really won't need the tubes. I feel pretty sure about that. My daughter was the same way.... We made it through her first winter (when she turned 1) and she didn't get her next infection until last week. A year later. But hers were never as bad as his either though.
I completely sympathize with you. :( I always felt so bad for Hunter with his ear infections. He only had 4 before he was 12 months, but it took us until he was 10 months old to find out he was allergic to dogs (and we had two). It took another two months to make the decision to get rid of them. Ugh. It wasn't until his last ear infection that the urgent care dog we had been seeing suggested allergy testing, finally. Who knew?! As a first time mom, then, I sure didn't.
I know you may not want to have tubes, but they are so great to be honest. I had major ear infections when I was little that now has caused me to lose almost all my hearing in my left ear and then I had tubes and I haven't gotten a lot of ear infections. But now I'm all better except for the one ear I can't hear out of.
Have you read the book, "No More Antibiotics, Preventing and treating ear and respiratory infections The natural way" by Dr. Mary Ann Block. ? I'm in the middle of it so I can't give you a full review...but so far very informative! I know you are extremely into research like I'am. Happy New Year to all you beautiful Eades'!
My mom said I used to get a lot of ear infections as a baby. Luckily I haven't had one since then. They sound so painful. I hope he gets better soon though. He seems so happy no matter what! lol
I have probs with my eustachian tube getting blocked but I just get pressure build up and discomfort rather than ear infection so I feel for the lil man as thats not nice!
He's been in disposables since the day before we started him on the ear medicine. The Dr said he'd get a yeast infection from it and we didn't want yeast in all the cloth diapers.
Yah I've heard you can treat them, cd's, for the yeast, but I didn't know how and w/ him on the antibiotics and getting yeast, when he did have on a diaper it had to be changed every 20-30 minutes b/c he'd let out just a little bit of poop/pee and of course u can't have it sit there any amount of time. We have like 20-30 cd's, not enough to change him every 30 minutes. Luckily though he was on a bed pad 3/4ths of the day.
I don't know how to treat Cd's for yeast either! I just hope you all get through this! At least he seems in good spirits even when he is not feeling well. Mine is teething right now and has been misrible!
I think you are right though that some germs are good germs. I think all of us need to be exposed to some things... if we all lived in a bubble then minor diseases and illnesses would probably kill us all !
Well being indoors u become immune to ur own germs but the downfall is the moment u leave the house ur body overly reacts to something a normal persons body would just say on that's a small bug no need to run a 102 fever and throw up for 2 days, instead u just don't feel well for few hours and that's it. So it's good to build up an immune system in that aspect.
He is so cute and always so happy and look at those thighs! When I was a baby I had really bad ear infection problems also and the dr's wanted to operate but I never did get operated and it just went away on it's own and I no longer get them so I think operating right now would be a bit drastic unless it continues fir quite some time.
Oh I agree...Most children around the age of 1 their tubes will open up and they will have no need for the tubes then. It's just getting them to that point. The downfall w/ Kacen though is he is resistant to all the antibiotics and now the only thing that works in the shots, & we can't get him use to that b/c if we do then we have nothing to turn to, and if he got another 104 fever, we wouldn't have anything to help it. (If I understood what the Dr was saying that is) lol
I don't openly speak about our family & vaccinations simply b/c too many watch my videos and they need to do their own research. Because of different lifestyles and area people grow up in different things are needed, each situation is different and that's why. W/ vaccinations there is no one right answer, ever.
You might want to ask your doctor about draining his ears instead of getting the tubes. My son had ear infections non stop when he was a baby. When he turned 2 we decided to get his ears drained and he has not had an ear infection since then. It was more to my liking to have his ears drained because I have heard a lot of problems with the tubes coming out and having to repeat the surgery over again. He is so cute
I hava the same thing with my ears and have since i was a baby. My ustation tubes are flat and not slanted like they are supposed to be so fluid pools in my ear and causes infection. I have has 2 sets of tubes at age 2 and 5. I also use ear plugs in water because any water in the ear creates an infection. good luck!!
Sorry, i meant the rash you talking about in the beginning...or were you talking about the rash too?.... Can a rash be caused by a viral infection? This is all helping me...
omgsh those thighs are sooo precious!!! little chunkers lol :)

That is exactly how I felt about tubes with my son. People thought I was crazy for being so against a routine procedure.

That's a possibility since I don't wear any but powder and that's it, but I don't think that is the case. Dr said it's a viral infection.
