i agree about the back of it looking like a citroen! VERY poor decision on the part of the design team, indeed! The entire design balance of the original xj's came from the fact of the balance between the front and back in terms of sleekness. If you look at the classic xj's silhouettes the one dominating and distinguishing design element that set jag saloons apart from ALL other manufacturer's design was the "almost" indistinguishable front to back lines low in the front, gently arch..low rear

Back looks like a Bentley? I disagree. Although the car is amazing looking, the back looks like a Lincoln MKZ. That is the only downside to owning this car. From the front and sides, it is sleek, modern, classy, and beautiful. When you look at the back, it looks like the designers weren't sure what to do so they made a hasty decision and that was the result.
