(continued) Right now, the pulses going to your piston are evenly timed. When the piston is powered, it immediately pushes the cobblestone forward, but the longer it sits there in the way, new cobble can't be generated until it is retracted. With my "short-pulse" circuit, the piston gets activated but only for about 1/8th of the time yours does, and the other 7/8 of the time it is retracted so that new cobble can be generated. This will improve consistency and speed by about 25%.
A way the generation efficiency can be improved is making a "short-pulse" circuit for the output of the 12-clock. I just made that term up because I don't know what to call them, but basically it's an input running to one side of an rs-nor latch, then the rs-nor latch will quickly send a signal to the other side and turn it back off. Then attach the other side (not the input) to the piston. That will ensure the piston only comes on for a very short time, and is off the rest.
@TheScootyPuffer Diggy diggy hole below the cobblestone creation zone, rig a water detector underground as per the video by minecraftpg5, link that to an inverter and piston :)
Isn't there a way to make it self breaking? Cacti perhaps.. And have maybe 3 gens with 3 over them making breaking and floating them all to one spot where the switch is.. Thats what I wanna see someone make..
geil danke :D

@systemerror1607 only with mods. Cacti won't break it. The stone will break the cacti instead.

Use a water sensor to auto-push the cobble :P
