  • Holy shit that is a HUGE show for a private function.

We do a show called Classical Sparks with the National Symphony Orchestra for a city of 300,000 and we don't use nearly as much stuff and usually only a couple of 10" shells.

How fantastic to be able to do such big shows for private clients without security concerns - I'm jealous as. Good on you.

  • @jonnyzz139 Thanks It was an amazing day, not like working at all we all had a great time and couldnt wait to set the lot off.

  • that sure is alot wow you light it all at one amazing =)

  • can we see it llit?

  • @mrwaterbomproduction There are 2 video responses on this page from the display taken by 2 different camera's It really pays to look.

  • one little spark opps...

  • What does wonky even mean, and why is this word becoming so popular lately? More at 11...

  • @jschwind435 Wonky –adjective, -ki·er, -ki·est.

    1.

    British Slang .

    a.

    shaky, groggy, or unsteady.

    b.

    unreliable; not trustworthy.

  • @jschwind435 are u in uk? id its an old word....

  • @Metal1on you have some great stuff man! just one question: where did you get your 12 inch shells from. and how heavy are 8" and 10" shells?

  • @trainguy2020 We get our 12" shells from suppliers in the UK (which are quite rare now) as for the weight of shells they all vary depending on what type of effect is inside, an 8" patern shell weighs much less than an 8" peony.

  • how you get a job in this ????

  • @harveydog2006 Start by contacting a local display company offering your services, ie fetch and carry then take it from there fireworks are 99% work and 1% fireworks going off, if you can deal with that and dont want paying for a while your off to a start.

  • how much did it all cost?

  • @icepoop20 I could tell you but as the saying goes.....

  • @icepoop20 more than a jaguar i think

  • @bosseman7 lol i dont get it

  • @icepoop20 i think the fire work is more expensive than a jaguar

  • @bosseman7 lol kind of a little known saing but ok it works i guess.

  • thanks for that ,if its private can you not go above uk regs so long as theres plenty of dead land and spectators are well away as your vid shows, cheers

  • @00028796 Which regs do you mean? as far as I am aware there is no limit to shell size in the UK the only limit is cost to go beyond 16" just isnt cost effective if someone really wanted to cover the cost of importing a 24" shell it could be done but it just isnt worth the effort for something that only lasts a few seconds.

  • one hell of a display if the links/video were correct awesome, was this a private display?

  • @00028796 Yes the links are correct, and yes it was a private display for a famous artists birthday.

  • ahh ok.. :) nice *-*

  • nice load of PYRO u got there

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 Yeah we had fun with it.

  • is there a limit to the size of a firework in the uk? i see in this video it went up to 12" shell.

  • @BTTOLDSKOOL 16" tends to be the biggest in the UK anything beyond that would cost far too much to be praticle due to the huge importing costs, and the way the regulations have changed regarding shells and storage and powder weight.

  • @METAL1ON ok thankyou. How do you become a pyrotec, were do you start and how?

  • Wow, where abouts in the uk are you baseD?

  • @shauny11mufc West Yorkshire near Halifax.

  • @METAL1ON Oh boy, I think he was off. But then again i never showed him the show. I just showed him the setup. I can see it would easily be more than that

    -ac

  • @Kittylover9393 glad you liked it

  • it looks like you use all paper mortar tubes. Why dont you use qany hdpe or fiberglass tubes?

  • @lamboroghini because in this country hdpe tubes sweat because of the chemicals in the lift charge.

  • two 12 inch shells

  • because i am making a little mortor setup in america no the uk and i wanted to shoot 4 mortors off at the same time so how do i link em fuses???

  • You either quick match them...or you use very fast burning visco...but if ya didnt allready know that..i would get some help from an adult..we dont need the fun police cracking down any harder then they allready are..due to kid's hurting them self's with LEAGAL firework's..feel free to P.M me if ya need better help.

  • how do you link fuses?

  • Don't you just twist the ends together and light them at the same time? This was never supposed to be hard.

  • Nice!

  • i wanna frigin see that go off!!

  • look around there are plenty of videos showing the display

  • I thought it sucked with the cardboard mortars, but you truly made a point about sweating. I have never seen it and never heard of that "issue" from anyone else earlier, so Im really curious about how you treat such problem if you do use HDPE mortars. It seems you tried so too bcs you can from experience tell the sweat haha.. I just want to learn so, would be cool if you sent reply or PM about that, nice video however..seen it many times admire your shows great work. keep safe!

  • the chemical residue in the tubes attracts moisture, and it looks as though the insides of the tubes are sweating.

  • the fiberglass and hdpe ones sweat, making them worse than if it were raining.

  • nice setup, do you have a video of the show?

  • i guess his video Sledmere Final is the result

  • and now light it

  • fiberglass mortars sweat like mad

  • are al those moratars cardboard /

  • yes

  • u dick i want to see them go of

  • hehe your pretty damn right!Setup is almost more funny then the show..if your crew is nice:)Hmm yeah thinking of the mortars to..weird with cardboard.thoug I like it partly bcs of the anti-shrapnel thing..well fiberglass and hpde use to stick pretty good togherat when a shell fails to..however.Set up was awsome..lucky birthday^^I agree totaly in what u said there:) Nice video I just gotta mention to..so everyone see i liked it to^^take care foks:P

  • very nuce

  • nice. what is the sledmere house?

  • a stately home.

  • nice vid u lucky man

  • what job do u have

  • cool

  • everything is connected electrical or by fuse??

  • both all the que's are electrical but some shell racks had pic.

  • rich bitch huh O.o

  • YEa !

  • WHAT happens if u dint keep the plastic on?yay,u posted it on my b-day

  • the fireworks would get wet when it rained

  • it doesnt mather the fireworks should go trough

  • maar als een mortier vol voloopt....

But if the mortar wil fill with rain?

  • badass set up but do u have a vid when u lightit up if u do seend me the link i wanna see it

  • nice video, glad the new firing system worked well for you :)

  • Lol nice stuff :)

  • lol, nice

  • How much does all that cost? You have have some good stuff.

  • thats top secret

  • lol

  • I think you take off the plastic before ignition.

We cover the shells in foil (we dont have rain, loads of sun)

  • we leave the plastic on, foil makes a terrible mess that has to be cleaned up afterwards

  • Thanks for posting. nice
