Holy shit that is a HUGE show for a private function.
We do a show called Classical Sparks with the National Symphony Orchestra for a city of 300,000 and we don't use nearly as much stuff and usually only a couple of 10" shells.
How fantastic to be able to do such big shows for private clients without security concerns - I'm jealous as. Good on you.
@trainguy2020 We get our 12" shells from suppliers in the UK (which are quite rare now) as for the weight of shells they all vary depending on what type of effect is inside, an 8" patern shell weighs much less than an 8" peony.
@harveydog2006 Start by contacting a local display company offering your services, ie fetch and carry then take it from there fireworks are 99% work and 1% fireworks going off, if you can deal with that and dont want paying for a while your off to a start.
thanks for that ,if its private can you not go above uk regs so long as theres plenty of dead land and spectators are well away as your vid shows, cheers
@00028796 Which regs do you mean? as far as I am aware there is no limit to shell size in the UK the only limit is cost to go beyond 16" just isnt cost effective if someone really wanted to cover the cost of importing a 24" shell it could be done but it just isnt worth the effort for something that only lasts a few seconds.
@Danider99 They were ignited electronically from a system called fire by wire. Sie wurden elektronisch von einem System namens Feuer durch Draht gezündet.
@BTTOLDSKOOL 16" tends to be the biggest in the UK anything beyond that would cost far too much to be praticle due to the huge importing costs, and the way the regulations have changed regarding shells and storage and powder weight.
@METAL1ON Oh boy, I think he was off. But then again i never showed him the show. I just showed him the setup. I can see it would easily be more than that
heavy shit. i bet theres a good few grands worth there. you wouldnt want me on the job, i'd be tripping over ya detonation wires and ripping them out. does that ever happen?
You either quick match them...or you use very fast burning visco...but if ya didnt allready know that..i would get some help from an adult..we dont need the fun police cracking down any harder then they allready are..due to kid's hurting them self's with LEAGAL firework's..feel free to P.M me if ya need better help.
I thought it sucked with the cardboard mortars, but you truly made a point about sweating. I have never seen it and never heard of that "issue" from anyone else earlier, so Im really curious about how you treat such problem if you do use HDPE mortars. It seems you tried so too bcs you can from experience tell the sweat haha.. I just want to learn so, would be cool if you sent reply or PM about that, nice video however..seen it many times admire your shows great work. keep safe!
hehe your pretty damn right!Setup is almost more funny then the show..if your crew is nice:)Hmm yeah thinking of the mortars to..weird with cardboard.thoug I like it partly bcs of the anti-shrapnel thing..well fiberglass and hpde use to stick pretty good togherat when a shell fails to..however.Set up was awsome..lucky birthday^^I agree totaly in what u said there:) Nice video I just gotta mention to..so everyone see i liked it to^^take care foks:P

the chemical residue in the tubes attracts moisture, and it looks as though the insides of the tubes are sweating.
