I just picked up a lightly used 03 with 1200 miles on it. I love the bike, but my gas tank leaks out the top under the seat. I am careful not to over fill as it states in the manual, and follow what it lists in the manual on filling... Still leaks. Any sugestions? Ride West BMW said there is nothing wrong, but it leaks next to all those wires under the seat. Makes me jumpy! Thanks
Is it near where the charcoal canister is? There is a seam in there and it can leak. I had to replace my tank. There were some recalls on tanks but not sure if yours would be one of them.
Thanks a lot for all your videos. Just about to buy a bmw f650gs and do a tour through europe and onto africa, south/north america and canada.
dont think ill be carrying the 9mm though, probably just ABS pepper spray because in some countries you'll get in more trouble for shooting someone than just blinding them enough to grap your tire bar and knock 'em out :)
