Just a question: Is it necessary to put on the foundation before the eyeshadow/liner and such? Can I skip it, or will it determine how good or bad the outcome is? Its just that I dont have foundation so i was just wondering. Superb videos, btw, love em.:)
this is a really great look. i have that palette and love it. the only thing i don't care for too much it that i always have fallout and sparkles on my face when i'm done. i'll try out your tip, thanks =] love the tutorial
I love love love this look, but I have "seafoam jade" green eyes, so blue eyeshadows really clash with them. Do you have any suggestions on how I could altar this look to work for my jade peepers?
I just wanted to say that I love the look and think it looks very nice on you. You have a very pretty face! I also wanted to commend you on amazing music choice, lol! Loved it =3!
Beautiful! I love a lighter look like that - I'm very fair and a lot of tutorials just look ridiculous on me unless I use lighter colors than the ones specified.
What liner is that? I'm in the market for one after my puppy ate mine.
No I'm not a professional makeup artist, I just play one on youtube...lol :D You may want to check out spectkra. net (no space). They have a section for industry discussions and they can better tell you which schools are better etc. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :)
I like it better than the paints. However, I don't have a nude colored paint pot so I couldn't give a fair rating. UDPP helps the e/s to stay longer, not fade or crease, and makes the color more vibrant for me. I do like the paint pots though for not creasing, I just don't have a nude colored one to use instead of UDPP. :)
ok, awesome. i usually use mac paint in still life...so it's pretty neutral but also has some sparkle to it. but i think i definitely going to look into some UDPP! thanks a bunch. ps- i love your videos :)
urbandecay. com (no spaces), sephora. com (no spaces), or you can find them in your local Sephora store. I hear that there are some Macy's around the US that are starting to carry UD. :)
So nice to see Urban Decay! their peroduct and Bourjois are more affordable, a little different, and available in my home town, which many other higher end brands are not, so thanks for that! Great color combination, feminine without being overdone. Last, thanks for the reminder about foundation and blush, it helps me streamline.
I love this look.. soft and pretty, it is looking very wel on you, am sneakpeaking to all the video's and to be honest, you can have them all, all the looks you create with your brown eye's, Wonderfull :)
keep on the good tuturials :)
Greets from the netherlands
Note, Urban Decay not sold here :( but the web is nice with me for that :)
lol...yeah and that's AFTER I went through them to see which ones I really wanted to keep and which ones I wanted to give to Good Will. Too many of them have sentimental value. lol. :)
I know, I don't like the cream color bases or paints the way I like UDPP. I haven't tried any paint pots but I think I've found my HG base with the primer potion!
I don't understand how ur eyeshadow stays fixed where it is no matter how many times you smudge in that black eyeliner...my eyeshadow 'falls' off my eye the minute I attempt to blend the colours together!! WHY????
Do you use a primer or some sort of base like a shadestick, paint, paint pot, or eyeshadow pencil before putting on your eyeshadow? That's why i use Urban Decay's Primer Potion. It helps keep the shadow where I want it. I used to use MAC's Cream Color bases before finding UDPP and those work really well too. The only reason i stopped using them was because they didn't prevent creasing like UDPP. :)
How starry, are you from London, England? If you are then, then Hi I am from London too and you can buy Urban Decay at House of Fraser, Oxford Street and Debenhams, Oxford Street. It is currently priced at £9 and it is really, really brilliant, basically it makes your eyeshadows really deep and really shinny or glittery or velvety if they are matt.
Hey Starry, great, you will love it. BTW, you must think I am dreadfull at spelling, I said, How Starry.. LOL... Meant to say Hi... Enjoy the January Sales. Have to admit though every year they are getting earlier and earlier, they start before Xmas. In Top Shop, Selfridges, etc. Still your Urban decay primer will not be affected by the sales:)
lol...thanks! Now if only I could figure out a way to rig them up so they all give me a standing ovation at the end of each video! HAHA!! That'd be freakin' funny. Yeah I have no life. lol :)
no- you are an amazing artist! and maybe the stuffed toys r not praising you for your work but we at home in front of our computers are!! I have subscribed to nearly ALL of the beauty gurus but you are probably the best! You could even be a great celebrity makeup artist if you wanted.

okay, this is going to sound weird, but how do you manage to keep the shadow on your eyelid?
i must have small eyelids or something, because my shadow brush is bigger than my eyelid, and it's the small size!
lizlovesdogs93 4 years ago
i love your videos. I like UD too, get tired sometimes of MAC MAC MAC.
TheOobster 4 years ago
try the UD primer if you havent- IT'S AWESOME! it helps shadow last forever! I have very oily and creased eyelids and the UDPP really worked for me!

I use it all the time. It's actually the first step in pretty much all of my videos. :)

I don't use anything except foundation on my eyes...is that bad? :-$ Lol
Thanks for the advice; I hope they have an Urban Decay outlet hidden somewhere in ye olde streets of London...time to go shopping!! (",)
starryeyesurpise 4 years ago
Well, it's not bad, but using a primer will help to keep the eyeshadow from fading and creasing. :)
