I was in this choir...we were all about 15 years old. and the soloist that everyone has said is so "horrible" was from Germany...and how about you go and sing by yourself in front of everyone in your town and see if you get nervous. And just for the record we learned the song in a week and went on to state festival were we received a one (the highest rank a choir can receive)

I'm in choir in school and we are currently working on this song and I'm trying out for a solo at at the very end of it so I decided to look it up and I found this which is almost the exact same aragenment that we are doing. I would like to congratulate the choir in this video for singing this song so well. I was a bit disappointed when I noticed that the song cut off in the middle of the next to last word, but still pleased with it. Again a big congrats to the choir!

It's sad that it was made specifically to make a sad song about Christmas to make money. Obviously I understand the song more than any of you, how generic and lame it is. A blatant, sappy attempt to make people cry, its so obvious that is what they intended to do when they wrote this song. And this song is definitely not beautiful, the chord progression and vocals are sub par at best with way too obvious rhymes. But there is really no point to debate this, to each is own. Really, lame song.

sad?! do you understand the song... for me it means "christmas" time for giving... and you can see how the kid loved his mom... is it sad because of the death??? actually there is no death... maybe the mom lived... we dont know... all we know is the song is a good song to represent what christmas is all about... love and care for others...
