The formation flying is done through software called FSRecorder. It is freeware. Take care.

The first aircraft is an OV-1 Mohawk. The second aircraft is the Aero Commander-Meyers 200D, and the last is the stock SP2 F-18 Hornet

i use tile proxy in fsx and i love it no other compares BUT after a very little time and not much distance covered(glider) i lose detail or its like its always degrading and i have to refresh it seems every few mins (going slow) mind you why is this?

In FSX set your LOD radius to minimum and turn off your antivirus software when running TileProxy. Also, if you can install TileProxy on a fast hard drive (like 10,000rpm) you will see a very good performance increase. You need to clear any system bottlenecks and free up ram to feed TileProxy.

Hmmm...

1) If you just installed TP, try rebooting... that may help.

2) in your proxyuser.ini file, did you specify the correct hard drive to access the folders for the world scenery and service types?

My suggestion is that you read the FAQ... I know it is not an appealing option, but after reading the FAQ I got up and running right away. good luck.

Kept researching and finally came across someone saying that folders were not being created to hold the pics that get downloaded and it reminded me of a problem i had with vista awhile ago. I turned off uac and it fixed it. :D tileproxy is amazing

XP or vista? make sure you disable digital signed drivers in either, the process varies for each os. Google will guide the way. Also make sure no anti virus is running and firewalls are disabled. Google tileproxy and follow the first link, it is a step by step guide on installing and downloading the files you need.

hey guys ive got all black squares around my airports and autogen. ive gt tileprxy beta 8, fsx sp1 and acceleraion (sp2), windows vista 32 bit ultimate, top of the line specs, and tile proxy set to 60cm for sceery res. ive tried all the tweaks and shit on the websites and forums. im currently using virtual earth. (but i cant see anyhting) lol.

The major cities (Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing) are covered on the services like Yahoo! and MSN Virtual Earth.

However you don't get any of the skyscrapers in 3D. ;)

The music isn't depressing; it's more "mysterious" or suspenseful. I'm glad you're doing your own. I'm working on a video right now and I will do my own soundtrack as well (I use Reason and Cubase). Making your own music makes this all the more fun, I think.

Thanks! Yeah, I enjoy the music creation as much or more than shooting and piecing together the vid. Usually I play guitar into my Edirol 24bit 96khz USB Audio Capture device (UA-25) and work within Fruity Loops 8.0. This time I was playing around with the voice synth and nostalgic DX-10 presets. I have used Reason and Cubase (with varied success), but found Fruity Loops to be very intuitive for my entry level musical skills.

I will keep an eye out for your next posting!

LOL, thanks. My wife said the same thing, but then again I found a Wilson Phillips CD in her player the other day... Anyway, it was my first attempt at using speech synthesis in a musical composition. That and my musical tastes generally fall into the new wave, shoegazer, dark genre. It's a limitation of my skill level, but its hard for me to create a viable happy "feel good" tune and pull it off.
